SKYLAR JUNGERS Twelve-year-old forward Skylar Jungers recorded a hat trick to lead The Out-ofDoor Academy girls soccer team to 4-1 victory over Bayshore Dec. 1. It was the seventh-grader’s first hat trick while playing for the Lady Thunder. Here is an inside look at this week’s Athlete of the Week.

How did you get into soccer? I’ve been playing ever since I was old enough to play. I think my parents made me, and I wanted to try something new.

Did you have a favorite cartoon show growing up? “The Power Rangers” if you call that a cartoon. My brother, sisters, cousins and I used to dress up and pretend we were the (Power Rangers).
