To find out what the Year of the Dragon has in store for you, visit Nimbin School of Arts on February 9, 10 and 11. It will surely satisfy all your psychic, psychometry, and geomancy divination needs. ICYMI, former News Corp and Fox executive, Kim Williams, will replace Ita Buttrose as head of the ABC. Unlike most vapid corporate CEO types, Williams is an accomplished musician, didn’t get along with Murdoch, and is married to Gough Whitlam’s daughter Catherine. Perhaps the days of the national broadcaster looking like Woman’s Day are numbered? Let’s hope Williams makes ABC TV journalism great again. From Independent journalist Michael West: ‘The feds can find billions for AUKUS, but not for aerial firefighting, despite recommendations of the Bushfire Royal Commission’.

Well done PM Albo for adjusting the Lib/Nat’s awful stage three tax cut policy. It will provide financial relief to many more people, instead of the already wealthy. That prompted much humbug and yabber yabber from the Libs-Nats and their cheerleaders, the Murdoch rags. It’s a wedge for opposition demon, Peter Dutton, who will presumably now campaign on reversing the tax cuts for everyone earning under $104,000 pa. According to 2021 ABS data, 12.5 per cent of the Aussie population earned that ‘high’ income of $2,000 or more, per week.

What’s going in ya green bin? Council are asking that only organics go in, so that the resulting compost is natural and good quality. Council say the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has brought in new rules because of the large range of disposable products that claim to be compostable, but contain chemicals and substances that could cause harm to the environment, and to people’s health.
