Orbit Eco Dry Cleaning to open in Byron Bay Orbit is launching its first Earth conscious eco dry cleaning business in Byron Bay. Eco Dry Cleaning, also known as ‘professional wet cleaning’, uses specially formulated biodegradable detergents that are non-toxic and safer for the environment. Orbit’s founder adopted the system as an environmental alternative for dry cleaning. There is zero use of the solvent ‘perc’, a known health and environmental hazard commonly used by dry cleaners since the 1940s. ‘The process is much gentler on your clothes, which will be returned smelling fresh and clean with no residual toxic odour. Not only is this better for our environment but better for the health of our customers and staff.’ Orbit opens for business on Monday, 6 June.
