Castrikum Adams Legal Mercedes Castrikum has been practicing in the area for some years. She is passionate about a wide range of legal issues associated with aged care, including estate planning, and assistance with understanding contracts aimed at transitioning into retirement living, assisted living and high care facilities. From a commercial perspective, the firm’s work across a range of building and construction matters has seen the business quickly expand and incorporate a busy conveyancing practice. As part of the firm's expansion, long-time local, Leah Rafton, has recently joined the team as Practice Manager.

As with all businesses affected by COVID-19, Byron College had to pivot very quickly and move their extremely popular general course offerings online. The term saw 80 online classes with over 520 students attending. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and the team are hugely grateful to the local community, who embraced the changes to stay connected and stimulated through online learning. The College will continue to offer some online courses in Term Three as their face-to-face program returns within the current recommended health guidelines and recommendations. www.byroncollege.org.au

Studio Stav It's great to see local artists use COVID-19 to create more music. Michael Stavrou learned from the best as a Sound Balance Engineer at AIR Studios London before moving to the Shire. Stav will go anywhere to record but likes to mix at StudioStav – pictured here – on the Smart Console he designed to make mixing more fun and efficient. Mixing is his favourite pastime and he'd love to mix your music. A good music mix seeps deeper into the heart and soul of the listener, and with any luck will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Call Stav to talk sounds over coffee to bring your music to life. StudioStav.com 0403 441 848
