Beef and Beach RFS charity lunch Australia has just experienced one of the worst bushfire seasons ever. Byron and Beyond Networking, in conjunction with Belle Property and Beef & Beach – Byron Bay, are proud to invite you to a charity lunch to raise funds for the Rural Fire Service. Upon arrival, you will be served a complimentary drink and canapés, followed by a banquet lunch. Come along and raise some money for our volunteer firefighters and have some fun! Beef and Beach charity lunch Friday 27th March. Tickets: http://bit.ly/2SqyPkz byronandbeyondnetworking.com.au

It’s quite nice living in a place that actually produces gourmet food products. It might take you years to discover them if you lived in some other part of the country. I don’t think my old local BiLo in Adelaide would be stocking food like the new Brookfarm Paleo Granola range. That’s a pity because these ‘premium cereals’ are much healthier than Black & Gold cocoa pops (well, most foods are!), but also don’t break the bank. Obviously the use of premium, sustainably sourced and natural ingredients in the Brookfarm Paleo Granola range will drive up the price of a pack, that and the three months of research needed to produce a true ketogenic product that is high in good fats and low in sugar. The Brookfarm paleo range is very successful for them, so having decided to create new products in the range, they spent quite some time to get the flavours right too. Because I believe that coffee is some sort of superfood that should be in every diet, I like the timesaving idea of the Espresso Paleo Granola, blending coffee roasted by Bun Coffee (a Byron Bay company) with wattleseed. The Prebiotic Granola blends almonds and coconut to ‘promote diversity in

your gut’. The Keto Premium, on the other hand, has over 22% macadamias. The whole range focuses on wholefoods, and healthy fats, and is also gluten free and vegan. Now, the thing is, when you are eating a food that’s high in good fats and low in sugar, you don’t need to eat fourteen bowls of it after exercising like a deranged ironman trying to break the Glycemic Index record. As the accompanying photos show, a moderate quantity on your natural yoghurt with fresh fruit won’t break the bank, but it will give you a great-tasting locally produced premium breakfast.
