We will be holding FREE Naidoc-inspired crafts with Byron Bay Kidz Klub from Tuesday 17 July till Saturday 21 July, 10am till 2pm outside Target. Newaste (North East Waste) will be holding a drop-in plastic-free workshop at Ballina Fair from Thursday 19 July till Saturday 21 July at Shop 14 located next to Blooms the Chemist. Design your own calico bag is on from 12pm Thursday till Saturday. Plus learn how to make your own beeswax wrapper workshops on Friday 20 July. Times are 10–11am and 2–4pm. Are you the northern rivers’ best gamer? Ballina Fair is holding its first-ever gaming competition with an old-school Mario Kart competition from Monday 9 July. Entry is free and open to school-aged students. All you have to do is race the Mario Kart circuit and record your fastest lap. Finals will be held on Friday 13 July and the Grand Final on Saturday 14 July. There are lots of cool prizes on offer including a brand new Nintendo Switch.

Exciting things are happening at Ballina Fair these July school holidays.

Budding artists aged six to 12 years have the opportunity to work with exhibiting artist Georgie Maddox. Working with oil pastels initially, students will explore deconstruction and collage processes with the artist. Save by booking in more than one child (friends as well as relatives) with a $5 discount on each additional booking in the one transaction.
