The Good Life Ballina Food and Wine Festival

The festival is fast approaching. The main festival day is Sunday 2 July and entry costs $25, but for those who wish to claim a quick tax deduction, or celebrate a great financial year, Friday 30 June is the gala four-course dinner at Ballina RSL, featuring Kelly Knight and her jazz/ funk ensemble. Tickets $95.

Many Byron Shire restaurants, foodies and cottage industries will be featured at the festival on Sunday, including The Balcony, Zest, Safya, Taste Byron Bay and Byron Bay Mozzarella. You might also be able to sample the produce of Truly Tea, Detour En Provence, Cheesy Stick, Extraordinary Foods, Paella Time and Crow-Ket.

Stone beer festival

Both Stone & Wood Brewery and Byron Bay Brewery will have stalls, and there will be wine and beer information sessions. On Sunday you will also be able to experience cooking demonstrations by top chefs, featuring: Sean Connolly – chef, Balcony Bar & Oyster Co Gavin Hughes – head chef, Byron at Byron Resort and Spa Terase Davidson – Taste Byron Bay founder Blake Seymour – executive chef, Ballina RSL Club Keith Wilson – head chef, Bonefish Bar & Grill

Sunday will be a great opportunity to enjoy a multicultural experience in one place. The Sunday festival is an undercover event for 18+ only. Tickets are $25. Despite the cyclonic weather, locals and beer lovers braved the rain and showed their community spirit supporting Stone & Wood’s annual event on 11 June, listening to local music, eating local food and celebrating the release of their seasonal Stone Beer while raising money for Liberation Larder and Bay FM.
