‘It is wonderful when you hear positive feedback about your team,’ says Julie-Ann. ‘Both of our area sales managers, Franco Braico and Kylie Charlton, are being consistently complimented for their professionalism, integrity and honesty and being personable and a pleasure to deal with. To me, these testimonials speak volumes for the quality of people we have working in our business.’

Property insider Mullumbimby’s iconic Magnolia House (below), sold by Gary Brazenor of Unique Estates late last year, was one of NSW’s top ten homes viewed online for 2015, according to new figures released by REA Group. It was the only one in the local area to make the top ten list with the vast majority of highly viewed properties being Sydney properties with harbour views. Gary Brazenor commented on why he thought Magnolia House proved so popular. ‘Magnolia House is a stunning and “unique” character home with a colourful history, which made it appealing. Our expertise in developing a strong brand and marketing campaign around each property enables us to promote the unique and special

features of a home. We work hard to share the personality of a property across multiple media which, in turn, optimises the chances of being viewed by potential buyers,’ he explained. Magnolia House sold in September for $1.39 million. It is not easy to be a new real estate agency and establish yourself successfully in a marketplace that is already serviced by longstanding agents. However, that is exactly what Julie-Ann Manahan (pictured above) and her team at Raine & Horne Ocean Shores have done. Raine & Horne Ocean Shores are celebrating a successful first six months in operation. Since launching in September 2015,

the office, which is located in the Ocean Shores Village Shopping Centre, has averaged two sales per month. Julie-Ann says, ‘Our results are speaking for themselves and the marketplace is responding accordingly’. ‘I believe the success of our business is down to the “whole team” approach we have to selling homes, not to mention Raine & Horne’s marketing and technology, which allow us to showcase properties in their best light, and ultimately achieve a premium price for our sellers.’ Another key factor is the combined experience boasted by her team. ‘We have a professional team with a combined experience of more than 60 years in real estate,’ says Julie-Ann.

Forest & Beach House (pictured above) is one of only 50 homes across the state vying for the profession’s top honour. Sue relaunched Troppo’s office in Byron in 2015, with the national practice of regionally based studios focusing locally on residential, commercial, community and institutional projects. Recently completed works include the much-needed and well-trafficked visitor shelter at the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Having achieved a degree in architecture, and after travelling widely, Sue worked for many years with some of Australia’s best-known award-winning architects, including Troppo, Richard LePlastrier and Peter Stutchbury. Throughout her career, she’s continued to develop a deep understanding of designing for Australia’s
