The inaugural Brunswick Nature Sculpture Walk will be held from 3 till 5 October 2015. This event, auspiced by the Brunswick Heads Progress Association, has been a dream of community artist sculptor and educator Sam Collyer since it was put into the strategic plan for Brunswick Heads in 2011. Local sculptor Mimi Dennett came on board to help push the concept along and since then they have gathered like-minded artists to make this dream come true. Brunswick Nature Sculpture Walk will provide a platform for local and interstate artists to showcase their works and for the public to explore and immerse themselves in the world of sculpture. There will be sculptural installations, ephemeral environmental art and site-specific works, which will lead to some permanent works reflecting aspects of the environment.

Artists will educate visitors and locals about the environment through sculpture, an aspect Sam is passionate about. Some artists will be providing workshops for students in several of the local schools, collaborating with and mentoring students. Byron Shire Council has been a major sponsor of this event along with strong community support. It’s about community linking people together through their love of art and the environment.
Regotatts Following the withdrawal of the vehicle registration windscreen stickers in most Australian states, Rego Tatts have taken a positive step and have produced Rego Reminder stickers with many designs so you are never caught out. The cool car tattoos were created right here in the Byron Shire by Pearce Motors in Brunswick Heads, who came up with the idea after many customers found themselves not remembering when rego is coming up or due. Regotatts have no year and are uv-resistant, so you don’t need to replace them every year; only the month so we can be prepared in advance if need be, they really are cool car stickers that serve a purpose. You can visit the store on the website, or drop into Pearce Motors in Brunswick Heads to get one. www.regotatts.com.au
