Credit to Peggy Balfour for challenging David Lovejoy and raising the real issue of Agenda 21 and how it is already affecting and will affect all of our lives (Letters, March 12). I mostly gave up on attempting to wake people up to such issues long ago. It’s excellent to read a voice of reason here in bubble land where the most alternative of opinions are often mercilessly ignored rather than curiously investigated.

Ballina Q Anybody who has read The Echo for a while will know that Peggy Balfour is one its most intelligent contributors. And now I see one of the bravest, too. Peggy had taken on the religious left wing with her latest well researched email on climate change. I have long been suspicious of the coordinated media campaign to frighten people about the environment. Virtually all the world’s media is owned by six corporations. And who owns the six? So why uncharacteristically promote an environmental cause that on the face of it affects big business? Or could it possibly be to the advantage of the world’s most influential people to have global laws that give jurisdiction over the air and the water
and, by default, the entire population? Climate change – the brilliant trojan horse. The primary link of CO2 to the climate was from Al Gore’s hockey stick graph. (Al recently bought an $8 million house on California’s ‘threatened’ shoreline). It took years for peer reviewers to extract the base data for this – an analysis of ten trees which was interpreted wrongly and with historical data missing (http:// bishophill.squarespace.com/ blog/2008/8/11/caspar-andthe-jesus-paper.html). There is a very balanced article from Byron’s own Kindred magazine that is worth reading and points out the flaws in the CO2 argument (www.byronbodyandsoul.com/media/docs/ Kindred_29.pdf). CO2, an innocous, naturally occuring gas. What about genuine pollution? What we do know is the climate is changing. Always has done. Most thinking on this planet is driven by the controlled media. Even the deliberately ludicrous presentation of ‘the other side’. It is insidious. I suspect Peggy Balfour will provoke an avalanche of media-think regurgitation by daring to be a climate change denier, the world’s latest holy category of dismissal. As Malcolm Muggeridge said, ‘Knowledge is the most arrogant of all opinions and invariably misleading.’ Particularly when one person’s knowledge is somebody else’s vested interest. Go Peggy.

When you follow something back to its beginning what lies behind it emerges. Their ‘idea’ of global warming has little to do with the environment but is all about control of the people in it. Have you ever wondered why we now have rezonings trying to restrict what we can do on our land while CSG companies pillage the environment? Some may recall it was around 1970 when the first warnings of impending climatic disaster were put out by The Club of Rome, in their book, The First Global Revolution, published 1991, where the quote noted by Peggy appears about their ‘idea’ of global warming, they concede absolute certainty about its ex-
cling. So I did some research to see what else the bankers have been up to. It seems that in the mid 90s they sent undercover agents into the shire to live here, to probe the green movement. They used their considerable influence and resources to get the right sort of people into local media management positions, and to ensure that those media pumped out plenty of nonsense about sustainability and all sorts of greeny left ideas. Because the bankers needed to know what inspires and motivates people think green, thus how to get people to be compliant with the carbon taxes which they are planning to implement globally. They have of course been watching our responses and reactions to this media. It worked. Our reactions were amazing. Virtuous radicals embarked upon humble yet conspicuous campaigns to make the shire plastic shopping bag free! And more people put more bumper stickers on their cars! Beautiful people with a solar panel on their roofs got up there with a trumpet to let everyone else know, as if no one else in Australia had solar energy, not them over the border. If you are of the shire and you have an encounter with someone you think may be a banker’s agent, it is sufficient to just be your normal organically aloof self. Breathe! Don’t say any more to them than you would to anyone else outside your clique. Richard Hollier
