Members of the Vikingland Corvette Club are out and about for an hour-long drive Sunday evenings to showcase their passion – their cars. What began in the spring of 2011 by Tom Hayes and Rick Schoenrock of Alexandria has morphed into a 20member group of enthusiasts whose cars encompass

Corvettes from many years. Hayes’ vehicle is a red 2007 C6 coupe with the license plate “WAY2FUN,” while Schoenrock himself has nine, all from different eras and includes six Indy pace cars. Membership in the club also spans the decades from 20-something owners just getting started to veterans in their 70s.
