The ninth largest retailer in Minnesota, Goodwill opened in 1919 and sells a wide variety of preowned items such as CDs, furniture, clothing, housewares, accessories and more. The Alexandria location opened in 2014 and employs 45. Because the store is a nonprofit, a large part of its revenue goes into training people in different fields of work, such as banking, medical office, construction and automotive. It also offers job placement services.
Why was RM Tattoo selected as Best Tattoo Parlor in the Alexandria Lakes Area? “We’re always trying to improve and get better, learn more. We care about our customers and make sure their experience is a good one!” said owner Randy McKernan. The business, offering tattoos and body piercing, started in 2008, and there are currently three people working in the shop. It’s won more than 35 awards in the last three years.
