Re-evaluating Options •
The Washington Department of Archeology & Historic Preservation (DAHP) has asked the UW to document the history of the murals and hire a murals expert to assist in preserving the walls that the murals are painted on.

UW has gotten a list of firms from DAHP who will be hired to help with the project. The selected firm will include the services of art historians and art preservation specialists who will examine preservation options and produce refined cost estimates for each option. They will also be asked to assist in providing archival documentation for all of the murals in the ECC.

We have begun the process of digitally capturing of the murals by an expert from the Henry Art Gallery. Digital capturing is required for cataloging and any restoration that may be related to preservation.

Continuing to consult with students, alumni, community members about the murals and construction project.
