Ken Vance Foundation Fund

Ken Vance was—and is—a pillar of the Eau Claire community. Thanks to the thriving dealerships that he founded, his name appears on vehicles throughout the city. His business acumen was rivaled only by his generosity; not only did his community service greatly improve the area’s quality of life, but his award-winning collaboration on the Lowes Creek Watershed Project united public and private interests to protect the creek’s water quality.

Ken’s son Jason established the Ken Vance Foundation Fund to carry on that legacy of giving. He explained, “My father instilled in all of us kids that you get what you give. He loved Eau Claire, and he always made it a point to be very philanthropic when it came to charities in Eau Claire. When my father passed away in 2020, I wanted to create something that would ensure that he was never forgotten and that would be an arm of giving well after I’m gone.”

Because Ken and his wife Roberta had established the unrestricted Roberta and Ken Vance Fund in 2018, Jason decided to continue their legacy through ECCF. “I chose ECCF as that arm of giving because of the history that my father and mother have with the organization. I also think that Sue and the rest of the staff do an impeccable job of managing it.”
