May The Mulberry Mud Run is a new and exciting event which is being held to raise vital funds for Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Children’s Hospice. This is an event for those with an adventurous spirit and with the addition of the smaller Fun ‘Mud’Run, this will be a great event for the whole family. This 2.5 mile run across the Thames Estiary mud starts at Thorpe Bay Beach, Southend to the historic Mulberry Harbour. The race take splace on 30 May. Come & Try Orienteering is a fun event at Castle Park, Colchester. Navigate your way between a number of defined points using a specially drawn map of Castle Park. Advice, guidance and a compass will be provided. 7 May, 10am-5pm.

The annual Havens to Havens Fundraising Walk takes place on Sunday 8th May. Hundreds of walkers will stroll from Little Havens Children’s Hospice in Thundersley, Essex, through the lush green hills of Hadleigh Country Park, along the pretty coastline of Leigh-on-Sea to the charity’s adult hospice, Fair Havens in Westcliff.
