MENTAL HEALTH IS HEALTH CAMPAIGN

In the month of May, Easterseals Michigan kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month with its Mental Health IS Health campaign. The goal of this year’s month-long event was to encourage people to make their mental health a priority by taking a free mental health screening and participating in their mental health awareness week daily activities. Thanks to sponsors, ESM was able to host events daily to promote a variety of ways in which people can improve and maintain their mental health.

A mental health toolkit, loaded with self-care goodies, was developed and sent to campaign partners to use in the workplace which helped employees put their mental health first. Over 400 toolkits were mailed out to various companies and organizations in Michigan.

A Mental Health IS Health shirt was also developed and sold, with the proceeds going toward mental health services.

The campaign was a huge success earning massive media attention, incredible social media engagement, and nearly 2,000 screenings taken in the month. This campaign also raised over $65,000 in funds for mental health services.
