FROM THE PRESIDENT/CEO

Since 1920, we have continued to provide essential services to the community, always adapting to the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. Our commitment to Michigan families has never been stronger.

Each year, the demand for our services increases and this past year it has become more apparent. The number of individuals we served increased 9%, totaling 17,522!

The pandemic continues to impact our team and the people we serve. Through these challenges came innovation. We adjusted the way we serve to meet new needs, and we enhanced and expanded our community-based services for those who need it most. Wherever the need may be, at home, school, daycare, preschool, or any other setting, we find ways to serve them.

In October, we combined two well-respected and trusted names, merging with MORC, Inc., a valued organization with 50 years of service providing long-term support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and seniors in Southeast Michigan. This integration allows our new organization the opportunity to assist even more people in need.

We know those we serve rely on us; we are active to ensure there are no disruptions to current care plans or to the quality of care provided. Families or individuals that previously relied on multiple organizations for their needs will now be able to conveniently receive comprehensive care from a single, integrated organization – Easterseals MORC.

A special thank you for the support of our multiple partners, organizations, donors, volunteers, and team members who help make it possible to enhance our mission and further impact the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families, and our communities.
