EV DISABILITY INCLUSION MODULES
People experiencing disability including mental health issues are seeking to volunteer in their communities and the biggest barrier to this is US- organisations who see inclusive volunteering as too hard or who say we don't have enough time to make it work. It's a myth that inclusive volunteering requires more effort.
These workshops assist organisations to understand and to be able to prepare for designing meaningful opportunities for volunteering for a willing, skilled and enthusiastic workforce of volunteers waiting to contribute.
EV DISABILITY TRAINING – MODULE 1
Modules 1 & 2 are designed to be attended in sequence and so we encourage you to attend both sessions to gain maximum benefit and understanding. In this 3hr workshop, we will present content and undertake group activity work to: - Provide an introduction to the landscape of volunteering and why it’s so important - Gain an understanding of the changing nature of volunteering and how your organisation can appropriately adapt - Understand the business case for volunteering, and how the UN sustainable development goals can be addressed via inclusive volunteering
