GIVING DAY 2024 GIVING DAY 2024 SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLKIT for Giving Day Ambassadors

APRIL 17, 2024

#GiveBigE Giving Day, also known as #GiveBigE, is an annual 24-hour online challenge to increase giving participation among the EKU community. This year’s Giving Day is Wednesday, April 17, and the goal is 2,324 donors in only one day! To succeed, we need your help in spreading the word to Eastern’s loyal alumni and friends.

By committing to serving as a Giving Day Ambassador, you will help us change lives. Every gift counts toward the goal of 2,324 donors. Every gift also makes a difference — whether a donor gives to a scholarship fund, college fund, Athletics, or any other EKU fund — all gifts have an impact in the lives of Eastern’s students.

FAQs WHERE SHOULD I POST? Post on your personal social media accounts and on any EKU pages or groups to which you belong. EKU and EKU Alumni & Friends will be sharing messages on Facebook.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I POST? That’s up to you. Start by posting at least once on the three key dates: April 10, April 16, and April 17. We recommend posting one to three times before EKU Giving Day to promote the event and at least three times on Giving Day.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO POST? When in doubt, go to EKU Alumni & Friends (Facebook) social media account and share or retweet content. Add your own comment or just share the post to help the University spread the word.

WHEN SHOULD I USE THE #GIVEBIGE HASHTAG? In every post! Hashtags work on nearly every platform. You can use the hashtag as part of your post (i.e., Excited for #GiveBigE!) or add it to the end (i.e., Excited for EKU Giving Day! #GiveBigE).

MORE QUESTIONS? Contact the Office of Annual Giving at giving@eku.edu or 859-622-GIVE. Thank you for being a #GiveBigE Ambassador!
