Cobb Chamber To Host Health Care Summit The Cobb Chamber of Commerce will host the 2013 Health Care Summit on Oct. 21 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, the most comprehensive and unique session of its kind in the country. With a lineup of keynote speakers, panelists and experts in the health care, insurance and pharmaceutical fields, this Summit will provide citizens and the business community with an understanding of what Health Care Reform means for their organization, and the current politics surrounding the Affordable Care Act at the state and federal levels and what to do about it. Business leaders, human resource professionals and interested citizens are all encouraged to attend this one-day summit, including breakfast and lunch. The cost is $129 for general admission, and $99 for Cobb Chamber and Georgia Chamber members. Along with high-profile keynote speakers, discussions will be led by panels comprised of experts on Health Care Reform, influential organizations and government officials. All attendees will have the opportunity to interact with keynote speakers during the live discussion using special technology devices. Work groups will also be held and led by health care experts, providing structured opportunities for strategic and tactical idea-sharing. These discussions will allow attendees to depart the Summit with a clear action plan relating to requirements under the new laws, options to address these requirements, and a prioritized, company-specific action plan for 2014.
