Most of us are familiar with the Disney version of Cinderella, but did you know that most cultures have their own version of the Cinderella story? What makes a story a Cinderella story?
1. The father figure is often weak.
2. Female figures are often cruel.
3. The main character is forced to do menial labor.
4. The main character must prove who they are by trying on a shoe, cooking, etc.
Take a look at these stories and see if you can spot what makes them Cinderella Stories.
