Ethan Liu

Currently seeking a 4-month co-op term from 2025 September to December (Fall)! Hello! I’m Ethan Liu, As an emerging architect and second-year student from the University of Waterloo, I am constantly seeking the balance between ambition, practicality, and sustainability. Foundationally, I believe and thrive in perceiving architecture as emotions - sending bursts of sensations for its users and audience. Yet I love challenging myself to couple such “emotions” with sustainable site connections and storytelling, creating hybrids of design that combine form with meaningful social and environmental function. With much to learn in the world of architecture, I am so excited to bring my extroverted and curious personality to your firm. Having strong technical foundations and proven time management/work habit skills demonstrated from professional work experience and academics, I am comfortable and eager to tackle a variety of tasks under tight deadlines and heavy work loads. Outside of architecture, I love to play football, travel around the world, and drive towards the sunset while listening to Kung Fu Panda’s movie soundtrack.
