Faber-Castell Eco Pencils Do you know how the finest quality Faber-Castell pencils are made? Read the sentences below to find out. They are not in the correct sequence so you need to read them carefully and study the picture sequence to find out. • They are sent to the factory and cut into slats. • The pencils are then dipped in a coloured protective coating. • When they are cut down, new ones are planted in their place. • These are dried and cut into pencils. • Fast growing Trees planted in Faber-Castell Woodlands. • Grooves are then made in these slats and pencil leads placed inside. • Another grooved slat is placed on top to make a “sandwich”.

Father's Day Let’s make a great Father’s Day card! MATERIALS NEEDED

n Scissors n Colouring pencils/crayons n Wool or ribbon if hanging from the wall or magnet for the fridge n Photograph of child n Cereal box n Glue n Glitter/decorations for the frame INSTRUCTIONS

n Print out the template on the next page. n Cut out the “heart” in the middle of the template (this is where your picture will be placed). n Colour the picture template. Add glitter or sparkle glue or decorations of your choice. Let it dry. n Cut out one side of the cereal box and glue your photograph on to the middle of it. n Now glue the back of the picture template and place it on top of your photograph so that the “heart” of the template is placed exactly in the middle of your photograph. n Then cut around the heart shaped frame. n Attach wool or ribbon if hanging the photo or a magnet if you want it for the fridge.
