7.1HOW THE REGIME USE PHYSIOLOGICAL NEEDS AND SAFETY TO CONTROL THE POPULATION

After what happen back in the 90' the regime used the safety card, and was able to gain control and ligitimity thru bouteflika in 1999, during his four different terms, Bouteflika used physiological needs to buy social peacelike subdized housing, food, etc.... algerian self esteem is pretty low compare to americans, french and other developed western population, maybe due to the lack of success and achievement for last 200 years, a question that always come to my mind is when the algerian will think about achieving it' s full potential. I alwyas dreamed of an algerian that achieve its full potential, an algeria that has elites universities with annual annual budget over 2 billion dollar like Harvard and MIT, to create the scientists, doctors, entrepreneurs, entrep reneurs, lawyers, politicians, artistes, athlete of tommorow

I live in Los Angeles close to University of Southern Califonia, One day, while hanging out inside the university I was shocked and sad to learn that this university had 288 olympic medals while a whole country like algeria had only 17!!! 7.2-A REVOLUTION NEED AN ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL IDEORememb Ler OGthe firY st chapter when I mentionned charles tilly difinition of a revolution and I went deeper into three of the four component of the revoltion but the last one, because it was too early to explore it, but after reading all the chapters I think you are ready now to understand why a revolution with no economical and political ideology has slim chances for sucess 7,2.1-THE GPRA SHOULD SELL A DREAM OF SELF-ACTUALIZATION The GPRA and other institutions should sell a dream, a dream when Every algerian can achieve it' s full potential, a dream when every algerian can feel accoplished, a dream that exceeds the basic safety and physiological needs that this ugly regime has promoting to buy social peace. remember in the first chapter we talked about clear and precise goals vs abstract goals, these dreams has to be in strategic plans made by the cabinet, a group of expert that have differents teams working for them that will plan the future economic and political ideology of Algeria Sometimes I go to the supermarket to buy groceries and am offered samples of differents product that I have never tried before, At the end of the checkout, I find Items in my grocery bag that I didn 't plan to buy, all that to the power of sampling. that why The GPRA and its different institutions should show complete organisation, technology advance, liberty values, a sample of what Algeria will be after the revolution

7.2.3WHAT WOULD KRIM BELKACEM, HOUCINE AIT AHMED DO IF THEY WERE ALIVE TODAY

Ijust imagine if krim Belkacem or Houcine Ait Ahmed were to came back aliive for one hour, and we asked them for advice on what the hirak should do, wish of the two options will they encourage:

1-nobody should represent the hirak, keep protesting only on fridays and the regime will go soon,

2- the hirak should get well organized, politically, financially, mediatically and follow stategic planning and measured goals to push the regime off the cliff.
