Dog Fouling - Dyserth Playing Fields:

The allowing by dog walkers for their pets to roam freely and foul in the area of the marked football pitch within the King George recreational field area is appalling and disgusting. These areas are covered by a Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) by Denbighshire. The Enforcement Officers will visit more frequently who are able to issue fixed penalty notices.

20mph Speed Limit:

The Community Council received complaints in relation to the 20mph on the A5151 Road travelling from Trelawnyd into Dyserth, whereby in the Tre Castell area the speed limit will reduce from 60mph to 20mph. The concern due to the steepness of the hill with vehicles braking from 60mph to 20mph an accident could occur especially by drivers unfamiliar with the area. Denbighshire Highways have been requested to install additional warning signage to be erected. Several of the new 20mph signs have been covered in black paint; they have been cleaned by County Highways.

Children’s Play Area – Damage to Play Item:

The See Saw item of play equipment for the toddler usage has unfortunately been damaged. A witness advised the Council that this was deliberate. The cost for parts is £221.46 plus VAT, together with actual repair costs £550.00 plus VAT – total £771.46. Photographs below of the see saw area and damaged item.

Bus Services in Dyserth High Street:

A number of months ago representatives from Arriva Buses attended remotely a Community Council Meeting to discuss further with Councillors the ceasing of their bus services travelling through the High Street. The Councillors emphasised the importance of a service to the High Street area, in particular, for residents visiting from Lower Dyserth to the various business and Doctors surgery. Arriva stated the traffic congestion in the High Street, funding and the then forthcoming 20mph speed restriction. A number of Community Councillors met recently with the Member of Parliament and Welsh Government Member, who agreed to write to Arriva Buses seeking that the service is reinstated.

Defibrillators:

There are two Community Defibrillators which are sited on the outside walls of the Pharmacy in Dyserth High Street, and the other in Lower Dyserth on the wall of The Red. Councillor Emyr Morris is the Guardian of the units whereby both have been registered on a National Data Base named The Circuit * – which is administered by the British Heart Foundation.

* The Circuit – is the national defibrillator network and provides the NHS ambulance services with vital information about defibrillators across the UK so that in those crucial moments after a cardiac arrest, they can be accessed quickly to help save lives.
