Five years has Gone by since I graduated from University and began my exploration as an architect. I have since then I have had the privilege to work in various architecture related fields which enhanced my knowledge and expanded my perspective in different aspects of the design process, fields such as Heritage conservation, Landscape design, exhibition design, Competition entries and architecture design. By compiling the collection of my works in this portfolio, I have attempted to give an inclusive overview of the experiences I have acquired and the trial and error for some experimental work on personal projects.

The crafts sector responds most typically directly to market needs, especially tourism. Visual arts, in contrast, are often constrained because small local markets cannot sustain niche specialities. Very few practitioners in either crafts or visual arts can survive as full-time artists and frequently perform more than one function, working as producers, agents, consultants, facilitators and writers, or producing commercially in response to market needs in order to support themselves and to sustain and promote their artistic trade. Concept : What if contradiction was a way of expressing what a place really needs rather than assuming it to be an attack or disrespect? What if we empowered the individuality and actually accept it and embrace it? make it a part of us...so contradiction can be a way of life sometimes ...it teaches us to look at things more deeply and always create thinking alternatives to see a better world where open minds gather together in looking at the world in new perspectives this three floors women’s center aims at helping the local women in Jabal-Amman, Amman, Jordan to help them as an opportunity to encourage local talents and create A powerful platform for women to create a business in an urban setting.

Located in one of the remote areas of Balqa'a, Jordan, the Zarqa'a river was once one of the main water resources for crops and the daily needs for the residents and Jordan at times, nowadays, after years of neglect and abuse, the river has turned into a small stream of water which was causing an environ.mental issue to some of the local inhabitants living around it A visitor center was considered to be a solution for overcoming the issues caused, and as a way to regenerate the water back to the stream, and create a space for the locals and visitors to help maintain the river's new revivability project which was due to be established in the future The project was limited to a 1000m2 program, and the basic concept was to create as much open space as possible as to maintain the ingenuity of the site, and make it as transparent as possible for both the locals and visitors to enjoy, and find leisure in

‘08 HOUSE FOR AN ARTIST Based on the nine grid square design concept , and the freedom of choosing which artsit to work with, I've decide to work with a fashion model, to inspire the exterior design and the interior functions. The nine grid square allowed me to think within a three dimensional set of mind as an architecture student. The nine grid square was a base point to inspire us to deal with the idea of being able to abstract, add, and rotate whenever possible while working with the orientation we wanted; to keep the building as funtional as possible . The house consisted of three levels 2.80mx2.8m each, with the public in the ground level, semi public in the second floor and the private area on the third level . the total area (9x3)x7.84sqm

We wanted to determine the highly used streets from the pedestrians and the traffic around it. As a result we wanted to create a function within the area that makes it more alive and make it as useful as possible to create a certain relationship between the building and the church

‘09 BUS STOP DESIGN Located in Iraq Al-amir, Jordan. Qasr al Abed (Al Abed Palace) is considered one of the main heritage sites in Jordan, nevertheless due to reasons, it has been neglected for a period of time, therefor in attempt to revive the area and create a tourist hub lacation to attract more attention to it, a visitor center was proposed to be built in a location near the Qasr/ palace, The main concept for the design was based on site visit observations done in the early weeks of design conceptualization, the concept of protection was created as a basis to guide the building outlines and the bus stop that will be located not far form the Qasr as means of transportation for both the locals and visitors At first the bus stop was a two curved latticed shells with wood as a basis for the material proposed, due to the importance of how important sustainability as a guide line was to be considered The design was aimed to be as simple as possible, with the focus on creating a space which was both functional and aesthetic at the same time

HERITAGE CONSERVATION
Conservation of cultural heritage involves protection and restoration using "any methods that prove effective in keeping that property in as close to its original condition as possible for as long as possible."Conservation of cultural heritage is often associated with art collections and museums and involves collection care and management through tracking, examination, documentation, exhibition, storage, preventative conservation, and restoration. The scope has widened from art conservation, involving protection and care of artwork and architecture, to conservation of cultural heritage, also including protection and care of a broad set of other cultural and historical works. Conservation of cultural heritage can be described as a type of ethical stewardship. Conservation of cultural heritage applies simple ethical guidelines: Minimal intervention; Appropriate materials and reversible methods; Full documentation of all work undertaken. Often there are compromises between preserving appearance, maintaining original design and material properties, and ability to reverse changes. Reversibility is now emphasized so as to reduce problems with future treatment, investigation, and use. In order for conservators to decide upon an appropriate conservation strategy and apply their professional expertise accordingly, they must take into account views of the stakeholder, the values and meaning of the work, and the physical needs of the material. MY MAIN DUTIES WERE: • Creating building heritage assessment forms. • Updating building condition forms and Grading them according to a system • Working with the GIS team in updating building data and analysis • Designing building layout analysis around Al Salt area, Jordan

DUBAI CREEK MOSQUE
Concept: 99 names of Allah : The Dubai Creek Mosque design was inspired by creating a building that can play with the concept of light and shadow, the feeling of being elevated through light (God is light) was rendered through creating perforated elements (Allah’s 99 names) which will cast their light inwards throughout the day to the worshipers as they pray, the light of the names will appear on them. At night on the other hand those elements (Allah’s 99 names) will light outwards so the people outside the mosque can see them. The Half Dome Massing : The overall massing of the Mosque was designed as a half dome, for two reasons; the first was to allow the people approaching the main entrance of the mosque to be able to see the names lighting through the inside before entering the mosque itself through the full glass elevation, the second reason is to play with the idea of allowing several floor accesses inside and out, creating more viewing opportunities towards the interior of the mosque and the Dubai Creek Scenery creating more of a vertical circulation concept. The Movable shaders with Qur’an verses: The movable shaders which are cut into four different sections, each perforated with a different verse from the Qur’an, is a novel design where the mosque can comply with the different shadow opportunities through the day (5 prayers, Sun (Thuhur, Aser, Maghreb)), creating an effect in different times of the prayers where one can see a verse though the shadow casted on the outdoor area plaza of the mosque. By the time of Aser one can see all three verses complete.

4TH INTERNATIONAL FUTUWAWA COMPETITION – LOOK AT THE SQUARE
Floating Squares: Due to the significance of the Palace of Culture and Science, The main concept design was based on the idea of what would appear to be like a floating structure, leaving the palace visible clearly from the eye level of visitors. Using horizontal elements/planes with materials like Glass, white painted Steel Rods and Mirrors, the structure is meant to be light and playful; leaving the Site (Parade Square) appearing airy and light. A heavy structure was avoided and horizontal planes were created in able to have a freedom and interesting movement around the square. The square grid density is affected by the attraction areas in which the activities will be divided around the site, therefor the lesser the activity / functional (such as Libraries, coffee shops, shops...etc) the less we have a structure rising above the ground level. Main Elements: Glass Steel rods ( in White) Mirrors/ highly reflective materials

‘15- ’18 PARAMETRIC DESIGN My journey in parametric design started in 2014, when I decided to learn more about how computer coding and digital software media can effect the result and create advanced experimental work in architecture. At the beginning it was hard to grasp the concept and think the way scripting works since I was self taught. It took time to get the grasp of it, but the moment I understood it and started creating my own work and experiments, the experience was rewarding, and mostly enjoyable. Parametric design is a way to translate algorithmic techniques which help analyse the environment in which design can break the limits and challenge what used to be thought impossible through coding techniques and various 3D platform to visualize fast and accurate results. For this section of the portfolio, I will include some of the experimental work I’ve done using Grasshopper 3D in creating parametric design projects.
