When my wife and I sit back to watch a movie we tend to watch, the based on a true story films. 'Brian’s Song', 'We are Marshall', 'Remember the Titans', and 'Hacksaw Ridge' come to mind. There are so many inspirational stories out there.

Where did you grow up?

I am local through and through. Avonworth HS, Westminster College, and worked for Ken Pizzica at Longue Vue Club prior to Butler Country Club.

Tell us about your family.

- Are you married, and do you have any children?

My beautiful wife and I have been married sixteen years, but together twenty-five. Two girls, both living close by in Pittsburgh.

Tell us something that people might be surprised to learn about you.

Taught myself to ride a unicycle when I was 16. Oh yes, I can juggle too while riding.

What is your best round of Golf?

66 at Shannopin Country Club and 67 at Butler Country Club.

Can you name two of your favorite golf courses that you've played, and what makes them unique to you?

St. Andrews and Pebble Beach. Both coastal courses, but with very different vibes. Pebble Beach is where you can see everything in front of you. St. Andrews is where most tee shots are blind. Oh, and the beer tastes better in Scotland. :)

What initially drew you to the game of Golf, and how did you get started?

My father loved the game, and he instilled the sport in all of our family of six.

If you could play one round of golf with any three people (alive or deceased), who would you choose to play with? I would love to play with my father, my brother, and Arnold Palmer.

How long have you been a PGA member, and what made you decide to pursue a career in the PGA of America?

I became a member of the PGA in 1980. Forty-five years go pretty fast. I started playing golf at the age of 10. Put many hours into practice and loved it. Just could not give it up, so it became my vocation.

What does being a PGA of America Member mean to you?

Relationships top my list. You meet many people in this business and forge many strong bonds. Having PGA after your name draws people in and fosters relationships and mutual love and respect for the game. Can you give some insight or provide any achievements, accolades, or recognition?

I would like to thank Ken Pizzica, my mentor, for his guidance, wisdom, and friendship through the years.

Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Youth Golf Foundation for many years. Hopefully, the lives we touched went on to successful careers, with golf playing a big part in life lessons.
