Governing Board Approves Historic Salary Increase for 2018-2019 At the May 22, 2018 Governing Board Meeting, the salary increases for 2018-19 were determined. What was approved? The largest salary increase since 1987-88. This is due to the following increases in funding: inflation funding was restored, a partial restoration of District Additional Assistance, and the Governor's plan to provide teachers with a 20% increase by the year 2020. Special recognition should be given to the Negotiated Solution Team (NST) as they worked throughout this past year to develop this salary recommendation. Here is a summary of the approved salary increases by employee group:

Certified Teacher = 12% (10% from M&O plus 2% from Classroom Site Fund) Other Professional Staff = 10% (plus an increase in performance pay of $2,200/FTE) Classified = 7.0% on average $10.50/hour to $11.00/hour as of Jan 1, 2019 $10.51/ to $11.99/hour is 3.24% plus $0.41/hour $12.00/hour and more is 4.5% plus $0.84/hour Administrative/Exempt = 4% on average
