HORTICULTURE required courses
Certificate of achievement - Landscape architecture and design II
This program prepares students for employment as landscape designers, groundskeepers, outside maintenance workers, grounds supervisors, landscape gardeners, and landscape technicians. It is designed to meet the needs of self-employed landscape contractors who wish to increase their landscape design skills. Elements of the program will assist students to prepare for the California Association of Nurseryperson’s certification examination. Although this program is not designed as a transfer program to a baccalaureate-level landscape architecture program, this coursework will provide a solid foundation and acquaintance with the design tools used by the landscape architect. The program design includes classroom, laboratory, and cooperative work experience/internship. To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or higher. Required courses are available in the evening and on weekends. required courses
