TEEN MOVIE AT THE LIBRARY Mondays, Jun. 5; Jul. 3; Aug. 7 4 - 5:30 p.m. Come watch a movie the first Monday of the month. A good way to start the new month!

GAME TIME @ SLW Mondays, Jun. 12; Aug. 14 4 - 5:30 p.m. Play Wii, computer games and board games once a month. Get ready for some friendly competition. ART CLUB Mondays, Jun. 19; Aug. 21 4 - 5 p.m. Join in DIY crafts, and express yourself through art. SUMMER READING BOOK CLUB Mondays, Jun. 26; Jul. 24; Aug. 28 3 - 4:30 p.m. This summer we will meet the last Monday of each month to read books about building a better world.

TEENS ON LAPTOPS Thursday, Jun. 8 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Laptops will be set up solely for teens. Come out and use laptops to do homework, play games, listen to music or just surf the web. LEGO ROBOTICS Tuesdays, Jun. 13; Jul. 25; Aug. 8 4:30 - 6 p.m. Put your engineering skills into LEGO Robotics, and learn to build and test robots using LEGO EV3 Storm. Explore various programming features to operate the robot. YA APPRECIATION PARTY (Teen Advisory Board 1st Meeting) Thursday, Jun. 15 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Hey SLW teens want your voice to be heard? Give ideas and suggestions for YA literature and future programming at the library. Come out to the YA Appreciation Party where you will have the opportunity to participate in a small party with other teens and voice your thoughts and ideas for future programming at SLW. MINI MAKER DAYS @ SLW Thursday Jun. 29; Jul. 6; Aug. 24 4 - 5 p.m. Do you like to experiment, create and learn? Come out to SLW’s mini maker days and step into a world of cardboard construction, coding with Dash & Dot, building cool structures with strawbees or even turn everyday objects into cool gadgets. Bring your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset!

SLW TEEN ADVISORY BOARD MEETING Friday, Jul. 7; Thursday, Aug. 17 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Teens, come out and tell us your thoughts, concerns and suggestions for how you envision teen programming and services at SLW. Snacks provided. MAD SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER (BRIXOLOGY) Thursday, Aug. 3 5 - 6 p.m. Discover nature’s engineering secrets as we investigate biomimicry! We can learn a lot about efficient design from observing plants and animals. Build a walking insect machine, then test different ways to help it climb up the steepest branch. *T-SHIRT DESIGNING Thursday, Aug. 10 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Come out, be creative and design your own summer reading T-shirt for the Summer Reading Finale. BUILDING A BETTER BODY: HEALTHY EATING AND LIVING WORKSHOP Thursday, Aug. 31 4:30 - 6 p.m. Discuss the importance of making the right food choices and exercising regularly. Participate in fun food trivia games, make healthy fruit smoothies and mingle with friends while eating healthy snacks.
