The Wells Group Real Estate Brokerage began in 1985 under the leadership of our founder, John Wells and is the number one real estate brokerage in Southwest Colorado. The company offers a culture of collaborative agents, the most strategic market insights in the region; strong moral standards, and meticulous customer service. Our dominating market share is more than bragging right– it’s a direct reflection of the trust we’ve earned over our 38-year history. From the very beginning, the focus and foundation of The Wells Group have been to support our brokers and to provide the best services to our customers.

Today, John is joined by his son, Zane Wells; Abbi Munn, and Thad Trujillo, as co-owners.

Zane joined the company in 2015 after a successful career in the commercial real estate industry in Denver, where he learned paramount skills and attributes to continue his success in the Durango real estate market. With an undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from Fort Lewis College and a Master’s of Science in Project Management from Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin.

In 2001, Abbi Munn joined The Wells Group after graduating from New Mexico State University with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Abbi is a third generation realtor, where sales and customer service have been ingrained in her from an early age.

Thad Trujillo has been with the company since 2000 with a focus on farm and ranch sales. He is an active member of the community serving on numerous boards. Born and raised in the Pagosa Springs area and a Fort Lewis College graduate, Thad’s roots run deep in the community.
