Do not use abrasive sponges or cloths. The use of these products can cause corrosion and / or the formation of bubbles on painted profiles and damage the silk-printing. ANODIZED ALUMINIUM The quality of anodized aluminum complies with QUALANOD specifications for architectural applications. PAINTED ALUMINIUM The quality of painted aluminium complies with Qualicoat specifications. Our department has more than twenty years experience and belongs to the second generation of vertical electrostatic powder installations, a process known to be very low in its environmental impact (supplied powder recovery > 97%, total absence of solvents). The paints used are first-rate quality epoxy-polyester and heavy metal-free powders, in an anti-bacterial and / or antimicrobial version, in order to reduce bacterial growth on the surfaces. The department takes full advantage of the quality of the extruded items, by performing a pre-treatment with a chromium-free organic passivation, by maintaining and granting the same anti-corrosive and adhesion performances. The article produced in this way is fully recyclable at the end of its lifetime. The adoption of low environmental impact treatments, the total water recycling process and the installation of a revolutionary cleaning system by electro-flotation, which has replaced the traditional physical-chemical treatment of common use, have allowed to reach, by June 2007, an important milestone: zero discharge of process water. Since a decade this unit is equipped with a modern quality control laboratory capable of performing any mechanical and corrosion resistance test on painted items, according to QUALICOAT specifications.
REACH DIRECTIVE Application of regulation n° 1907/2006 (reach directive) Dear Client, On 1st June 2007 entered into force over the whole European Union the new regulatory system (REACH – REGULATION (EC) N. 1907/2006) for the evaluation, registration and control of the release of substances and chemicals on to the European market. This requires that all substances and chemicals produced or imported in the European Union, in quantities greater than 1 ton/year, must be registered at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). In order to make use of a transition period , during which it will be possible to prepare the registration dossier, it will be necessary to perform a preliminary registration before 01/12/08. Please remember that , if before this date the pre-registration has not been performed, the substance in question will not be released on the market until registration has been carried out. Please be informed that Novellini S.p.A. is only an end user not producing or importing substances inside the EU and therefore is not obliged to carry out the duties linked to the registration of such substances. In order to grant you the regular continuity in supplying our products, with this document, we inform you that we are checking that our suppliers, if necessary, perform the pre-registration. Should this not happen we will replace the substances in use with others complying with the requirements of the binding regulations. Our supply will undergo however no modification downstream of the REACH regulations. Our products are all included in the article definition mentioned in the Regulation (EC) N. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and Council of 18th December 2006. In particular, within the meaning of art. 7 “Registration and notification of the substances contained in articles”, comma 1 letter b), such articles are not subject to registration as no substances contained in them will be released in normal or reasonably predictable conditions of use. Novellini (UK) Limited, a company registered in Italy with number 2784487 whose registered office is at Novellini House, Orchard Trading Estate, Toddington, Cheltenham, Gloucester, GL54 5EB, (“Novellini”) guarantees its complete cubicles, baths and equipped shower panels and acrylic trays against faulty materials or manufacture provided all the conditions set out below are satisfied.
Terms and Conditions of the Novellini Guarantee
This guarantee provides benefits which are additional to and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. This guarantee is only valid and enforceable for products purchased and used exclusively in the U.K. and Republic of Ireland.
The product must have been fitted / installed in accordance with Novellini fitting instructions (available at www.novellini.com), local bylaws and general good plumbing practice. Shower trays must be level and sealed to the tiles.
Should a claim arise, Novellini will investigate the issue to ensure that the conditions of this guarantee are satisfied. What is covered by the Novellini Guarantee? The guarantee covers faulty materials or manufacture and is restricted to repairing or replacing (at Novellini’s sole discretion) the parts found to be defective. If a replacement is offered but identical goods are no longer available, Novellini will replace it with our closest equivalent product. The liability of Novellini is limited to the products supplied by Novellini and does not extend to any consequential loss or damage arising from the defective product. How long is the Novellini Guarantee for? Two years from the date of purchase. The repair or replacement of products will not extend the period of the guarantee and such parts will only be covered for the unexpired period of the original guarantee. What is not covered by the Novellini Guarantee Stone resin trays are not covered under this guarantee but are covered by a manufacturer’s 12 month guarantee subject to the manufacturers warranty terms and conditions which are available on request. Ex displays or products reinstalled from their original position are not covered under this guarantee with no exception. The purchaser is responsible for checking that the product is complete and in good condition prior to installation. No claim will be accepted if a product is installed with a fault that would have been clearly visible before installation. Novellini shower doors are power shower proof under normal showering conditions ie water hitting the body first. The guarantee does not include replacement of the entire product. The guarantee does not cover costs of disassembly and reinstallation. Parts not directly linked to a manufacturing defect ie unfavourable conditions deriving from the nature and the quality of the water and electricity connection are not covered by this guarantee. Novellini declines any responsibility for any defects caused as a result of the product having been repaired, altered, serviced or modified by parties other than Novellini or its authorised agents. Unfavourable lighting and atmospheric conditions may cause discoloration to acrylic, no responsibility will be accepted by Novellini for such discolouration. Novellini declines any responsibility for damage, whether direct or indirect, to persons, animals or objects arising from failure to observe the instructions and technical information contained in the installation manual that accompanies the product. Novellini declines any responsibility for difficult or impossible installation, and malfunctioning due to walls out of true alignment or incorrect or inadequate electrical or water connection supply. Except in the case of death or personal injury by the negligence of Novellini service engineers, neither Novellini, nor any of its directors, employees, or representatives will be liable to you or to any other party for damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the installation or removal of any of its products.
The guarantee becomes effective at the date of purchase. You must provide proof of purchase at the time of claim. Please note that without this proof any work carried out by Novellini will be chargeable. The guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is non transferable.
Steam units baths and equipped panels must be accessible for service & repair. Novellini will not pay for the removal & refitting of subsidiary items ie washbasins, w.c tiling radiators and fitted furniture if the steam unit bath or equipped panel is not accessible for service and repair. The product must have been maintained and cared for in accordance with Novellini’s instructions (including regular and appropriate cleaning) and is subject to products being fitted and used in normal domestic household circumstances only. Steam units must be fitted to pre-finished tiled walls & floors. It is mandatory to fit any filters supplied with the steam unit, bath or equipped shower panel. Service isolating valves must be fitted for service purposes. Any parts which are replaced will become the property of Novellini. If in Novellini’s opinion the product has been modified, misused, neglected, wilfully or accidentally damaged, or the defect is due to normal wear and tear we will accept no responsibility for failure. Novellini must be given the opportunity to inspect the product in the installed condition. If the product is removed before inspection by a Novellini engineer or personnel the guarantee will be null and void unless we have given written permission to remove the product. Novellini reserves the right to charge for engineers call out costs, time and replacement parts if a claim is not due to faulty materials or manufacture. Should Novellini carry out work as a result of a claim but subsequently it is revealed that the product has been abused or improperly installed, we reserve the right to charge for any expenses incurred. What happens if I live or move abroad? The guarantee is applicable to the country in which the product was purchased. If your product is taken abroad the guarantee will be invalidated. However, Novellini will always endeavour to assist you in your new country of residence. How do I make a claim? If you require assistance please either call Novellini on 01707 299347 between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am and 4.30 on Fridays or by fax on 01707 371235. Cleaning and care of your steam unit, bath and equipped shower panels. To maintain unaltered in time the beauty of your cubicle and your bathtub, Novellini suggests Cleanit (see page 249). The cubicle panels and baths are made of acrylic and must be a cleaned using a liquid detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Use a good quality household liquid detergent. To prevent scale deposits, wipe dry using a chamois leather or a soft lint free cloth that removes stubborn deposits without leaving traces. Limescale deposits maybe removed using specific detergent products. To restore shine to the acrylic surface polish with an ordinary wax polish such as car wax. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS, ALCOHOL OR ALCOHOL BASED PRODUCTS, ACETONE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE OR OTHER SOLVENTS. It is your responsibility to check with the manufacturer of all cleaners and solvents used whether the contents are suitable for use on the product. It is important to clean your Novellini shower door or bath screen after every use. Wipe down all the glass and metal parts with a soft cloth. Do not use a hand held shower attachment at close range to clean your shower enclosure since this may result in water leakage. Do not allow lime scale to build up in hard water areas. Ensure that any residual water on the glass is removed after every use. Clean the glass regularly using soapy water. A 50:50 solution of water and vinegar may help to remove water-marking. Ensure all vinegar residue is rinsed away with clean water. Do not use abrasive products on any surfaces. Clean the seals of your enclosure with an anti-bacterial spray. Do Not use acid based descaler or products containing soduim hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, or products which are unsuitable for cleaning enamel surfaces, including abrasive cleaners or cleaners containing bleach or solvents, as these products will affect both the anodized and coated framework. Do not use scouring pads or sharp instruments when cleaning. It is your responsibility to check with the manufacturer of all cleaners and solvents used whether the contents are suitable for use on the product.
