MALCOLM TATTERSALL North Queensland Conservation Council How long have you been volunteering? I started volunteering for the North Queensland Conservation Council in March this year after nearly five years in a similar role at Reef HQ Aquarium. Why do you volunteer? I see climate change as the critical social justice issue of our time. If we can’t move quickly towards a truly sustainable society, millions of people (mostly in the third world, mostly already poor) will soon be suffering food shortages and extreme weather events and those problems will spread far more widely in our children’s time. Anything I can do to nudge the world away from that is time well spent. What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
