SCHOOLS

Duoc UC is one of the largest and most important higher education institutions in Chile, with 80.000 full time students in more than 84 programs. Its 15 campuses are located in the three most developed regions of Chile.

Duoc UC was founded by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 1968, and is currently part of the network of this recognized and prestigious University. In 2010, Duoc UC obtained 7 out of 7 years of institutional accreditation from the National Commission of Accreditation(CNA), which confirmed the soundness of its project and its relevance among the higher education institutions in Chile. Duoc UC offers 2 and 4-year undergraduate programs, which have been developed according to the industry needs and the clusters that are central to the growth and development of our country. Duoc UC has 9 schools or study areas: Engineering, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Communication, Design, Health, Business and

Administration, Natural Resources, Construction, and Tourism. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Over the last few years, Duoc UC has strongly promoted innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, recognizing this competency as fundamental for professional development. Both areas are part of a cross-disciplinary program, available to all of Duoc UC’s Schools as part of their regular courses. Currently there are 18.000 full time students enrolled in this program at Duoc UC and its results to date are reflected in a significant number of medium and small companies created by Duoc UC alumni.
