Inclusion and SEND

I have been Headteacher at Rosendale since 2013 and I have worked in the school since 2003. During that time, I have seen Rosendale grow into the outstanding school that it is now, with a long track record of great academic results and a formidable reputation for valuing sport, languages and the arts as well.

All that we do here at Rosendale is based on the evidence of what works in schools. That means that sometimes we do things differently to other schools, for example our children work in mixed attainment teams using structures to support their language and learning and it means that we are constantly seeking to improve and we are not afraid to change.

Rosendale is an inclusive school with a wealth of expertise in providing the best possible education for all pupils including all those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We do this by removing barriers to learning and providing the bespoke support that our pupils need.

We place a great deal of value on our relationships with parents and the local community. Rosendale is very proud to be a part of the Dunraven Educational Trust

We are delighted to have Rosendale Primary as part of our family of schools. The school’s aim is ‘Pursuit of Excellence’ and it has already done much of which it can be very proud.

As a parent, you want to be confident that your child will be known at school as well as you know them at home. Rosendale is a small, nurturing and friendly school which means that your child will be seen as the person they are rather than simply as one member of a class.

Remarkable things are happening at Rosendale. We look forward to sharing them with you.
