Initial Setup

The initial RPV-3 software App setup will be carried out by PSL Rheotek. This will include:

- Method settings – measurement parameters, bath temperature, cleaning and results

- Viscometer settings – including viscometer constants

- Application configurations – each measurement position will be set up with a method and a viscometer

In addition:

- The system will be set up with a preliminary password. This can be changed by the user

(Settings – enter password - global configurations)

Click configuration settings and enter the password

- Customer details can be added into global configurations (Laboratory Details) - Printer settings and network settings (for results) can be configured

Windows updates

Automatic Windows updates will be turned off, to avoid the problem of an update rebooting the system whilst the viscometer is running. If the PC is networked or connected to the internet, the user should schedule Window updates at a convenient time e.g. this could be daily after normal hours, or at other intervals.

Networking

With the assistance of the factory, a network path can be configured to an external server.

Printing

With the assistance of the factory, the software can be configured with a default printer driver. If necessary, additional drivers can be downloaded to support printers.
