My constituency projects speak No amount of falsehood will stop for me, says Ezeani ÏÏÏThe chairman, Anambra State
House of Assembly committee on Public Accounts and member representing the people of Anaocha 2 state constituency in the Assembly, Hon. Charles Chukwuma Ezeani, says there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for him to blow his trumpet as to whether his constituents are well and adequately represented in the 6th Assembly. Ezeani said the people of Anaocha 2 state constituency made no mistake when they collectively reposed confidence in him as well as entrusted him with their mandate to be their representative in the incumbent legislature, pointing that so far, so good, he has not fallen short of their expectations. The lawmaker, who disclosed some of his constituency projects and empowerment programmes at the legislative complex Awka recently, said his services and projects were part and parcel of the social contract and pledge he entered into with his constituency during his electioneering campaigns. According to him, his constituents are happy to the level he represents them in the hallowed chambers of the Anambra State House of Assembly. To this end, Ezeani boasted that his constituency projects and empowerment programmes will speak for him, noting that prior to his emergence as the lawmaker representing Anaocha 2 constituency, he promised to engage his constituents in economic activities to alleviate their sufferings. Ezeani therefore revealed that he has trained about 1000 persons in fish farming and currently about 85 fish ponds were ongoing at Umunri village Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. He explained that each of the 85 fish ponds
has about 1,200 fishes and people come to the area from far and near to procure the fishes in commercial quantities. He said: “I am now convinced that any moment from now Anaocha 2 constituency shall be a destination for anyone who will want to come and buy fish,” while explaining further that he has already made payment for the procurement of equipment that will be drying the fish. The lawmaker also posited that in the sports subsector, he has been able to take grassroots football to greater heights. He said that through the establishment of his football club known Charles Ezeani Academy, he has partnered several football academy including Diamond Sports Academy in the United Kingdom, adding that the aim was to get youngsters out of the streets as well as provide veritable platform for them to attain stardom. In the area of construction works, Ezeani stated that he has been able to sink borehole water facilities in sensitive and difficult terrains like Ichida, noting that the borehole facility at Ichida is the only existing and functional water facility in the area. He said Akwaeze community now has portable water because of the third water borehole facility he sunk in the community. According to the lawmaker, they have been lobbying as well as prevailing on the Anambra State government to come to the aid of his constituents by helping to rehabilitate deplorable roads in the area but it appears that the pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Ezeani noted that nothing meaningful has been done on roads in his constituency in spite of efforts made to get the attention of relevant authorities to fix the roads in Anaocha 2 state constituency.

Obiano’s re-election –Obidigwe Stories by John Ndu, Awka
ÏÏÏSpecial
Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Political Matters, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, has told Obiano’s critics and opposition elements in the state that no amount of falsehood will stop his re-election come November 18, 2017. Obidigwe said the governor’s fault-finders were only building castle in the air as well as basking in the euphoria of defeating the incumbent governor who, he said, already has the mandate of the people for another four years in office. The governor’s aide, who spoke with newsmen in Awka recently, disputed what he termed concoctions and fabrications against Governor Obiano, noting that former Governor Peter Obi was purportedly concocting lies alongside one Valentine Obienyem and Oseloka Obaze, the PDP governorship can-
didate against Governor Obiano, seeking cheap political points. Obidigwe stated that the ‘Godfatherism’ role Obi is playing for Obaze together with his fallacious statements, allegations, antagonisms and criticisms against Obiano will amount to an effort in futility come November 18 governorship election as he was confident and optimistic that Obiano will be returned for a second term in office. Obidigwe therefore urged the people of the state to disregard Valentine Obienyem and Oseloka Obaze concocted tissue of lies against the incumbent governor, saying that they were both suffering out of office stress and reality syndrome. “Obi was the masquerade that beat the drum they are dancing now, and to its tune,” he said, adding that Mr. Peter Obi’s over bloated ego has blinded his eyes to the extent that he could not see the reality of the damage he brought upon
himself by waging a political war against Governor Obiano whom he said worked for him during his administration. Speaking further, Obidigwe stated that when the devilish veil covering Obi’s eyes will be removed would be after the November 18th election, when the people of the state will use their voting power to teach him a bitter political lesson that will serve as deterrent to other politicians that will like to play God in the state politics. He maintained that no amount of falsehood concocted by the enemies of the state will stop Governor Obiano’s re-election bid because of his commendable work in state. He therefore charged Anambra electorate to use their voting power to shut the mouth of those who assumed the position of demigods and think they can do anything they want in Anambra State.
