Academics: Named a 2011 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete while the Hornets as a team were 37th overall out of over 130 Division I squads, the highest ranking for a HBCU. 2012: Named to the Preseason All-MEAC First Team, as voted on by MEAC head coaches and sports information directors. 2011: All-MEAC Second Team honoree … two-time MEAC Rookie of the Week (4/25/11; 5/9/11) … broke school record in season saves with four; besting Janice Savage’s three in 2005 … save total was good for first in the MEAC and 14th in the nation … finished season fourth in school history with a 1.72 ERA, good for second in the MEAC … allowed a MEAC-leading .226 batting average to opposing batters … led conference with 24 games finished and 29 games relief appearances, 22 runs, 20 earned runs, 69 hits, 15 walks and no triples allowed … posted a .750 (93) win percentage to lead the Hornets … nine wins was good for eighth in the MEAC … finished second on team with 44 strikeouts (3.79 per) … third with 81.1 innings pitched through 34 appearances (first on team) and five starts … allowed just 1.29 walks per game to lead the Hornets … pitched a career-high 7.0 innings with five strikeouts at Delaware on March 30 … also saw three plate appearances and finished season with a .333 batting average … lone hit of year came on March 12 vs. North Florida.
