DSOP METHODOLOGY DSOP METHODOLOGY FOUR STEPS:

Diagnose - Dream - Budget - Save

The creation of DSOP Methodology of Financial Education, now adapted to Educational curricula, is based on the life experience of Reinaldo Domingos. By prioritizing his dreams and knowing exactly how much they would cost and how much he would have to save to reach them, he learned to have money as his ally, using it responsibly and focusing on personal and family satisfaction. Having learned this, he wishes to help people to acquire financial knowledge and independence through DSOP Financial Education activities and publications.

REINALDO DOMINGOS Is a financial educator/therapist currently in the process of obtaining his PhD at the Florida Christian University, focusing his thesis on the DSOP Methodology. He is the author of the bestseller Financial Therapy, in addition to the following books: Get Out of Debt; I Deserve to Have Money; Entrepreneurial Banter; Financial Wisdom; The Money Boy Series; The Boy and the Money Series; The Money Boy in String Literature; There’s No Secret to Having Money; and the collection Money without Mystery. In 2005, Domingos created the first financial education program for businesses, designed Brazil’s first Textbook Series of Financial Education for Basic Education, which has since been adopted by a number of public and private schools. In 2010, he created the first graduate course in financial education – the DSOP Methodology. In 2012, Domingos created the first financial education course for young learners, which in 2013 was expanded to include teens and adults. In 2014, he created the first financial education course for entrepreneurs, and in the same year started the distance-learning graduate course in financial education (DSOP Methodology). He also implemented the subject of financial education in undergraduate certification and pedagogy courses and higher education certificates in financial literacy and financial education for entrepreneurs. As a graduate in Accounting and with a Master’s degree in Systems Analysis, Reinaldo founded Confirp Consultoria Contábil, an accounting consulting company, and was governor of the Rotary International District 4610 for the 2009-2010 term. Currently, he is the president of the DSOP Group and president of the ABEFIN (Brazilian Financial Educators Association), which he created and founded. He is also the director of both the in-class and distance learning graduate courses in DSOP financial education in Brazil. Reinaldo mentors the DSOP Methodology, which encompasses all its financial education programs.

FINANCIAL THERAPY make your dreams come true with financial education In Financial Therapy, the author presents the four pillars of the DSOP Methodology, which he developed from his own experience, to help people, in a healthy way, cope with their finances in order to achieve financial balance and independence and make their dreams come true. In this book the author sums up years spent on observing and analyzing human behavior. This, plus the everyday practices and the concepts developed over his life, constitute the philosophy that allowed him to achieve total financial independence before turning 40 years old.

Over 3,000,000 copies sold on the subject ALLOWANCE IS NOT JUST MONEY know the 8 kinds and build a new future In this book, the author shows that parents who think they should not give a monthly allowance to their kids are actually mistaken, since every child from the age of three onwards begins to have some form of contact with money. Parents, relatives and friends usually end up giving some money to children at given occasions and this is actually a kind of allowance albeit non-systemic. The information provided in this book comprehends not only the financial aspect, but also the perspective of social, ecological and solidary entrepreneurship, among other forms of linking money to reality that are beneficial to all. Thus, Domingos establishes eight types of allowances that can be used with youngsters. They are: Voluntary allowance, Financial allowance, Third party allowance, Savings allowance, Entrepreneurial allowance, Ecological allowance and Exchange allowance. THERE’S NO SECRET TO HAVING MONEY Targeting teenagers, this book provides valuable information on Financial Education to those who are about to join the workforce. Based on issues that tend to make young people lose their sleep, such as career choices and family relations, the author shows that it is important to establish a healthy relationship with one’s finances early on. Going beyond the individual level, the book encourages young people to think, touching on important issues like taxes, government budgets, technological entrepreneurship, smart shopping and even the great human ideals, such as social and racial equality. Thus, establishing relationships, prompting thinking and transmitting knowledge, the author urges readers to take charge of their own financial lives through a simple and efficient way of dealing with money, but one which promises to make all the difference between being able to make your current and future dreams come true or not. GET OUT OF DEBT how to balance your bills and get out of default In Get Out of Debts, financial therapist Reinaldo Domingos discusses a controversial issue which affects the majority of Brazilian families: debt. Comparing it to a huge iceberg, which is formed quietly and takes shape gradually, the author shows that we often only notice this problem when it has already acquired a startling size, undermining our financial stability and jeopardizing our dreams. To tackle debt and regain financial sustainability, the author suggests a real transformation in habits and behaviors, through which the reader begins to see money as a means, not an end, and addressing what originally causes debt, not just its effects. Over 3,000,000 copies sold on the subject I DESERVE TO HAVE MONEY! how to be forever happy in your financial life Have you been dormant through your life like a conformed Sleeping Beauty? Or perhaps you’ve been letting other people tell you where to go, like the impressionable Little Red Riding Hood? Are you, like Cinderella, waiting for Prince Charming to come along and solve your financial life? Or have you settled for spending part of your days like Snow White, living as a freeloader with seven bad-humored dwarves? In simple language, but maintaining the explanatory focus, the author provides his readers with the ten steps to true riches by summoning ten female characters from popular fairy tales to play a part in his teachings. These ten characters have all helped shape women’s thinking in several aspects, including finance. Author: Reinaldo Domingos ISBN: 9788582760154 Format: 14 x 21 cm Pages: 135

FINANCIAL WISDOM the miracle of multiplying your resources People are often so lost in their debt that they start to think it is normal to be in such a situation. Others just spend all the money they have because they don’t know what to do with it. In terms of our personal finances, we tend to be in one of three situations: indebted, balanced or investing. Whatever your case may be, it is possible to begin a new financial life and accomplish your dreams, such as getting out of your debt, acquiring one or more cars and/or houses, taking that trip you’ve always wanted, conquering your financial independence and whatever else your heart desires. Basing himself on the DSOP Methodology and the biblical teachings, Reinaldo Domingos demonstrates that good habits, discipline and perseverance are fundamental for the effective management of money. how to control your budget

Reinaldo Domingos outlines strategies and provides tips for those who are in search of financial success. The author makes an assessment of what people tend to understand as a budget. In this volume, he calls attention to the method for devising the conventional financial budget, which today turns out to be a completely outdated and ill-advised tool for people’s monthly or yearly planning. Besides explaining the reasons for this, Reinaldo teaches his readers to apply the DSOP Financial Budget, a tool that prioritizes people’s desire for prosperity and realization of dreams. how to reduce the urge to buy

Reinaldo Domingos shows how people let themselves get carried away by the shopping spree fever so common today. With frank and well-founded arguments, the author debates with his readers about the things they actually deserve owning. From this perspective, Reinaldo focuses on raising readers’ awareness towards finances, emphasizing financial reeducation through a change in daily habits. With this in mind, he proposes a clever exchange: reducing the urge to “go shopping” for, instead, carrying out more ambitious dreams and building a financially prosperous future. THE BOY, THE MONEY AND THE THREE PIGGY BANKS The second book in the series that began with The Boy and the Money, this title brings into play the same character (the boy) as he interacts with some unusual gifts he got from his mother: three piggy banks. At first, the boy doesn’t see their importance, but with his mother’s help and through his own initiative, he eventually discovers that they can help him achieve his dreams if he’s able to save even just a few of the many coins that pass through his hands. Thus, The Boy, the Money and the Three Piggy Banks concludes an analogy with the children’s story of the three little pigs, while delving deeper into the subject of Financial Education that began in the first book of the series. MONEY BOY time for change This book is a continuation of the series The Money Boy and brings lessons on how a preadolescent child should deal with the money he comes across. By portraying everyday situations experienced at school and in the family setting, the narrative presents the importance of financial education for the realization of material dreams, showing the child that other, non-material dreams should be pursued right from an early age. In this story, Reinaldo Domingos depicts the changes that The Money Boy and his friends go through with the arrival of new responsibilities when they enter the 6th year of elementary school. The objective is not teaching how to save money, but accomplish dreams. It leads kid’s interest on the subject through fiction. Each one of the 14 books – to be used in the classroom under the teacher’s guidance and with family support – has two moments: the story of Nico, his family and friends; and exercises for better understanding the content. Activities are ageappropriate, significant and stimulating. Pages are richly illustrated to support the story and the characters. This help kids to dive into the universe of financial education and fulfillment of their dreams.

The program brings in its contents symbolic games of pretend and of reading of images, with the intention that the student learns joking. Learning stimulates the development of language and representation, in order to establish the first concepts of the DSOP Methodology. The materials are: picture book, boards and piggy banks pedagogically structured according to neuroscience, which lead the child to discover objects and other items around them related to their needs and desires.

The four pillars of dsop Methodology, developed by Reinaldo Domingos, are the foundation for teaching. The whole content of our child education material values the child’s identity development in such a way that this child turns into a financially educated adult, and, also, a qualified member of the community. Exercises and activities value their playful character according to the different phases of the child development.

The Elementary School content relates directly to other subjects. Each year has eight chapters emphasizing on specific matters: two on Language, two on Mathematics, one on Science, one in History, one on Geography and one on Art. Though not explicit in the Student Book, the teacher is guided to rely on the Financial Literacy Dream Series not only for developing the Methodology but, also, to support the normal educational curricula content

The Middle School content is based on integrating themes that are present in all stories and activities. One of the major concerns of this series to take into account the child’s cognitive development at each phase in order to optimize learning. The books were reviewed by a neuroscientist and follow the most up-to-date neuroscience principles. For each year the subjects grow in complexity warranting a consistent and, above all, pleasurable learning experience.

In this work, the reader is invited to Nico’s wonderful world where the boy, playing and helped by three friendly piggy banks, shows the way he found to do everything he wishes. Aiming to help the reader to go through this adventure in a fun way, this book uses Augmented Reality (AR). In the final pages the reader will find instructions on how to use it. There is also a content exclusive to teachers, parents and tutors that may be used as a reference guide for before, during and after reading. ALICE’s SECRET DREAM The main character in this book shares a secret dream with many women around the world who, even today, have been denied access to formal education, to reading, to information and effective professional preparation. If thousands of “Alices” had had a good education, today the world would have many more women like “Virgínias Wolf”, “Jane Austen”, “Beatrix Potters”, “Clarices Lispectors” ... More than a wonderland, we would have a world with more justice and autonomy, if the “Alices” were able to write their own and other stories, signing their own names and affirming their identities. NINA AND THE LAMP Why does the Sun go away leaving such a dark night? Who turns the sun light off without asking first? Why do we have to sleep in the dark, with nightmares of witches and ghosts? These were some of the questions Nina asked every night. At the age of five and a half she was afraid of the dark and wanted light only for herself. Though her mother tried to soothe her and explain the reason for the dark, Nina could not stand her fear when the evening came and when the lights at home were turned off. For her, the dark was a strange world, a territory where fear dwelled creating scary shapes and beings. Nina could not sleep unless all the lights were turned on. Her mother had to think of a solution fast. How could she make Nina feel safe in the still of the night? How could she provide some sort of light, even though small, to always be by her daughter, like a pet, making company and bringing a sense of security? How could, then, Nina take this light wherever she went? That is when a brilliant idea came up! Author: Claudia Nina Illustrations: Cecília Murgel ISBN: 9788563680822 Format: 24 x 18 cm Pages: 40
