Week of Oct. 17  Google Docs update: More than 50 new features for presentations Important News! iPad Update: It’s time to sync! 1. Update iTunes: On a personal computer, open iTunes. (If you don’t have iTunes at home, download it for free from this site.) Once iTunes opens, you will be prompted to update to iTunes 10.5. You have to do this before plugging in your iPad to sync & update it. This may take around 20 minutes. 2. Sync your iPad: Connect your iPad via the USB port on your computer to sync. Most likely, you will be prompted to update to iOS 5. If so, click on update. If not, click on the device name on the left, & click the update button in the middle of the screen. It will then back up everything that you have on your iPad, including all of your settings, & then, it will begin installing iOS 5. This will take a while (on average 40 minutes.) Be sure that the download is completely finished & that it is ok to disconnect before you do so. 3. Tap the home button on the front of your iPad. You will continue the set up process here. You will need to put in your iTunes account information, which is why you need Wi-Fi connection. Allow it to use iCloud as well as Find My iPad. These are both great features. Now, you have all of the features of the new operating system. You can open the App Store app & update all of your apps (including Keynote, Pages, & Numbers) at that point.
