A group of 9 gaming sets, to include: 1 boxed chess set comprising one 26 cm board of black marble and green onyx, accurately cut and fitted, with a full chess set of turned pieces of like materials; 1 boxed chess set comprising one 26 cm board of grey marble and white onyx, accurately cut and fitted, with a full chess set of turned pieces of like materials; 1 boxed set of Chinese checkers comprising a 29 cm hexagonal board of white onyx background with pink, grey, and black marble segments, and a set of 1.75 cm dia. like marbles; 3 additional like sets with varying backgrounds and segments of marble and onyx; 2 boxed solitaire sets consisting of 28 cm dia. boards of yellow marble and orange onyx with grey marble pieces, and 1 dark travertine 28 cm board with gold travertine pieces. Marble shows varying degrees of veining; onyx shows alternate layering. A group of thirty, 7-piece, semi-precious natural stone, hand-carved sets each consisting of 6 stemmed shot / liqueur / schnapps glasses with a handled rectangular tray of like or similar material; the lot consisting of 11 sets carved from opaque white marble, each set showing varying degrees of brown veining; 8 sets carved from light to dark grey marble with varying degrees of veining and mottling of lighter marble; 5 sets carved from red travertine with a high degree of black veining and mottling; 4 sets carved from light brown flecked marble; and 2 sets carved from pink marble with red and white mottling. Approximately 30 kg total, 1 kg average each set: glasses 9 cm average; trays 12 x 20 cm average; note: hand carved items, 5% variation in dimensions; glass capacity 25 ml approx (glasses 3½" average; trays 4¾" x 8" average). 276 z BLACK EBONISED COLLECTOR'S CABINET 20th century AD A useful collector's cabinet, suitable for gems or other small items, with black ebonised finish to case and drawers; fitted with six trays, each with two ornamental brass pulls and 25mm overall deep and having 108 square velvet-lined compartments (each 25 mm square) giving total capacity of 648 items; each drawer with a working matched lock and an original key; the case fitted with an old owner's plate to the top (inscribed C W W). 8.6 kg, 37 cm wide x 25 cm tall x 32 cm deep (14½ x 10 x 12½").
