SUBURBAN NORTH

FRISCO

You might not believe that a mere 15 years ago, Frisco was mostly farmland. Now it is a bustling microcosm exploding with growth. The fabled North Platinum Corridor along the Dallas North Tollway is creating an entertainment wonderland. Even the Dallas Cowboys has moved its training facilities to The Star, a 91-acre sports and entertainment district in the corridor. The Dr Pepper Ballpark, featuring the Frisco RoughRiders baseball team, and Toyota Stadium, with soccer stars FC Dallas, are two more examples of the sporting activities in this active city. And shopping is plentiful, including Stonebriar Centre Mall and one of the region’s two Ikeas. Families thrive thanks to activities at the Frisco Athletic Center with its new indoor water park, Frisco Commons, which boasts the town’s largest playground system, and Frisco Discovery Center for science.
