AWARDS AT TRANSEXPO

Three years after the last edition, exhibitors and visitors returned to Kielce for the long-awaited Transexpo fair. The jubilee 15th edition was supposed to take place in October 2020, however these plans were thwarted by pandemic. This year's exhibition was also highly uncertain. We are all the more pleased that, despite the situation, the Transexpo fair took place as planned. The event attracted 112 exhibitors, including our company, and nearly four thousand visitors.

Let us just recall that the 2nd generation of ProViu 360 is full digital surround view system using megapixel cameras and providing HD image, delivered on the 10. 1” HD Touch-Display. The system provides the driver with a comprehensive real-time view of the vehicle's surro-undings, reducing the risk of accidents, injury to by-standers and risk of property damage.

We are pleased to announce that the ProViu system met with approval of the Trade Fair Competition Committee of Targi Kielce and was awarded a distinction in the category: „Bus Parts and Equipment”.

This year's trade fair was full of spectacular premieres. One of them was a new solution that enables drivers to make safe turning manoeuvres – the Wüllhorst WUE AAS-4.0 turning assistant.

The new system supports a driver when turning by providing a reliable warning signal indicating cyclists and pedestrians. The entire blind spot, opposite to the ste-ering wheel side, is visible for a driver on a screen (left-hand and right -hand traffic versions are available).

The system was also designed to comply with the UN- ECE 151 EU directive, so the detection area has been further extended. This allows safe detection of cyclists when crossing the road. WUE AAS – 4.0 assistant can be easily installed on public transport buses.

Our third premiere was the Power Distribution Unit (PDU), an in-house solution developed by our Research & Development Department. The unit was designed to control the power supply in electric powertrain systems in buses and trucks. For more information, see page 14.

Our offer also included Curtiss – Wright's accelerator pedals and electronic gearboxes.

PREMIERES & NEWS

At our stand, we traditionally presented our comprehensive offer for the public transport market. There were plenty of novelties. The first of them is a new ProViu 360 2nd Generation Surround View System intended for all kinds of commercial vehicles.

TRADE FAIR OFFER

Traditionally, our presentation during TRANSEXPO would not be complete without our previous Fair medal winners in the "Bus Parts and Equipment” category. These include the mFAP Continental driver's workplace that was presented in the form of a cabin with an intelligent steering wheel, two configurable switch panels and an extensive set of functions, as well as the SUMO MD Dana/TM 4 powertrain system for electric city buses.

Our offer for this market is much wider. For many years now, city buses have been successfully equipped with systems for tire pressure and temperature monitoring (CPC), multifunctional fleet management systems, USB charging ports for mobile devices, alcohol interlocks (Alcolock), mobile internet (Internet Box), or Konvekta air conditioning systems. Our visitors could see all above mentioned solutions at our stand.

OUR SOLUTIONS ON PREMIERE BUSES

PILEA 10E

Transexpo fair is above all a time for bus premieres. And this year's event was no exception. One of the most important events of this year's fair was the premiere of a 10-metre “Pilea” bus, manufactured by ARP e-Vehicles company.

The presentation took place at ARP's stand and was accompanied by interesting magic and vocal performances. The new, low-floor Pilea bus has met with a deserved recognition and as a result was awarded a distinction in the „Buses” category.

We are all the more pleased that Pilea bus has been equipped with our solutions. These include Dana/TM 4 powertrain system from SUMO MD HV3000 series, which consists of an electric motor, inverter and Neuro 200 controller.

The premiere electric bus is equipped with a FAP+ driver's workplace with a new 12” MUltiViu Professional display to visualise all essential information for the driver. The vehicle has been additionally fitted with a system for tire pressure and temperature monitoring (CPC) and USB chargers.

We want to stress that new Pilea 10E is another bus with our systems. The first one was Pilea 8.5m, that was also equipped with the above mentioned solutions. We wrote about it in DN no 1/2021.

The premiere of a new bus was a great opportunity to hand our customer a small gift, which was a miniature powertrain system, made by our Design Office and D&S Department. A much larger version of this is found in the Pilea 10E electric bus.

We would like to thank ARP e-Vehicles for the ongoing, fruitful cooperation and wish further brilliant premieres and many successes.

AUTOSAN Sancity 12 LFH

Premieres were also held at the stand of Autosan, our long-term customer. The Sanok manufacturer has presented its new hydrogen bus – Autosan Sancity 12LFH – that immediately gained recognition of the organizers and was awarded a contest distinction in the “Buses” category. The bus has been equipped with our new ProViu 360 2nd Generation Surround View System, that as we have already mentioned, has also received a trade fair distinction. The new Autosan bus has been also equipped with USB chargers and the CPC system that enables tyre pressure and temperature monitoring.

MAN Lion’s City 12 E

This year's Kielce Fair medal in the "Buses" category was awarded to the electric MAN Lion's City 12 E, presented at the stand of MAN Bus from Starachowice.

For the fair duration, the new bus has been equipped with a demo version of our new solution, which was the WÜLLHORST WUS AAS – 4.0 turning assistant. The system has already proved its worth on public transport buses. We hope that it will become a permanent fitting of the MAN buses.

AUTOMET Minicity electric

At this year's stand, Automet has presented, among others, an electric bus of MINI class designed for transport of 22 passengers in urban areas. The vehicle has been equipped with Dana/TM4 Sumo LD ( Light Duty) motor, the latest generation of electric powertrain solutions for light vehicles.

Cooperation with Automet company develops promisingly, which results in further deliveries of Sumo LD motors for electric vehicles of our customer. We were pleased to meet at the Automet stand with the President of the company, Mr Piotr Leśniak, and hand him our special business gift – a miniature powertrain system .

We handed such gifts to our customers who own vehicles equipped with Dana/TM 4 engines. Thus, during the trade fair the miniature figures went also to the management of MPK Zielona Góra, which has a large fleet of buses equipped with our electric powertrain systems. Fig. MPK ZG

The first day of the fair was culminated in a festive Gala, which was marked by the award ceremony, thanks, and a good time.

Thank you for visiting our stand at this year's Transexpo.
