Learning, Design, and Technology PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Learning, Design, and Technology graduate program in the College of Education at the University of Houston offers a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the UH Sugar Land campus. Focusing on K-12 teachers, the coursework provides opportunities to learn new and innovative skills to integrate the latest technologies in teaching and learning. There is a strong connection between course activities and implementing and improving practices in the teachers’ current classroom. The LDT graduate program at UH Sugar Land is taught by the same world-class faculty members that lead our main campus courses. The additional campus location provides opportunities for teachers in the Sugar Land area to attend classes locally . WHO SHOULD APPLY

PROGRAM FORMAT & SKILLS ACCELERATED FORMAT Students can start the program in Fall, Spring or Summer semesters. The LDT program consists of 10 courses + Capstone Project. The program can be completed in 5 semesters. (Hybrid) Face-to-face classes at UH- Sugar Land campus and convenient online courses. OUR FACILITY The University of Houston College of Education, the M.Ed. in LDT program is offered at UH-Sugar Land campus located at 14000 University Boulevard, east of Highway 59. Facilities include state of the art classrooms, computer and multimedia laboratories, library, bookstore, and a resource center.
COURSEWORK REQUIRED COURSES AND PROGRAM LENGTH The LDT program consists of 10 courses 2 Curriculum and Instruction core courses 8 Learning, Design, and Technology specialization courses. SAMPLE DEGRRE PLAN FOR A PART-TIME STUDENT There are 4 Required Courses*. FAQ CAPSTONE PROJECT Students complete a Capstone Project as part of the program requirements. It provides opportunity to apply, integrate and synthesize key concepts learned from courses in the program. This project demonstrates the depth and breadth of educational growth through the program and highlights the knowledge and skills gained, as well as development as a reflective practitioner. Students identify an authentic and challenging technology-related problem and then design, develop, implement and evaluate a proposed solution to meet that need.
