Nolan on Kroening: “Mary had a great rookie season for us and got better as last season went on. This past Spring, she continued to improve and has really emerged as a very good player in our program. Her versatility and ability to be a threat on set pieces make her a key part of our team.”

2010: Appeared in all 24 games, starting 23 times … Came on as a reserve in the season opener at American and started every game the rest of the season … Fifth on the team in minutes played (1,969) … Helped to lead a defense that recorded nine shutouts and was tied for third in the league in goals allowed (0.83) … A BIG EAST Academic All-Star. Prior to Georgetown: A member of the Region Two Olympic Development Program and a four-time representative of the Minnesota State team … Played her club soccer for the Woodbury Inferno, one of the top teams in the Midwest … Her Woodbury H.S. team was ranked No. 1 nationally as a senior and she was named all-conference … A three-sport athlete and also represented her school at basketball and softball.

Nolan on Menges: “Emily had a fantastic rookie year and stepped in right away and made a difference. Blessed with frightening pace, she is very composed defensively and also is such a danger attacking out of the back. I think she can become the best defender in the conference if she continues to work hard and improve.”

2010: A starter in all 24 games … An All-BIG EAST Rookie selection … Led the team in minutes played as a freshman (2,227) … A leader on a defensive unit that posted nine shutouts and was tied for third in the league in goals allowed (0.83). Prior to Georgetown: Played club soccer for Albertson Fury 91, one of the premier teams on the East coast … A team captain, she led the Fury to much success in the nation’s premier events … She has also played in the WPSL for the Long Island Fury … A two-time all-state selection for soccer and is also an All-American and all-state selection for indoor and outdoor track in the 800-meter run, 4x400-meter relay, 4x800-meter relay and 1,600-meter run.

Nolan on Soderlund: “Amanda’s injuries prevented her from getting on the field last year. Technically she is very strong and if she can stay healthy can compete to play in a number of spots. I am looking forward to seeing how she does this year.”

2010: Sat out the season after having surgery … A BIG EAST Academic All-Star. Prior to Georgetown: A member of the Far West Olympic Development Program and has been a member of the

Idaho State team for the past six years … Played her club soccer with Les Bois United, who compete at the highest level at both US Club and USYSA soccer … She captained Timberline to state championships in 2007 & 2008 and is a two-time all-state selection.

ST. MARTIN 20 alexa

Nolan on St. Martin: “Alexa had a very good opening season for us. She is so talented and versatile she can help us in a variety of spots. This year should see her take a stronger role on the team and I am excited to see her develop over these next few years. I feel she can add so much to our team.”

2010: Appeared in 23 games, starting two times (DePaul, Notre Dame) … Finished the season with six points and three goals … Scored two goals in the season opener at American … Also scored a goal in a 3-1 win at Louisville. Prior to Georgetown: A former member of the U.S. Youth National soccer program and a three-time member of the Region 1 and Massachusetts Olympic Development program … As team captain, she led her club soccer team, FC Stars, to four state championships … A teammate of fellow incoming freshman Kailey Blain … At the Westford Academy she was team captain, MVP and First Team All-League.
