Run of Run-DMC was spotted at Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, Jon Bon Jovi snacked at Turtle Crossing in East Hampton, Iron Chef Bobby Flay enjoyed a famous Rowdy Hall burger in East Hampton and Martha Stewart picked up chicken tacos at La Fondita in Amagansett. * * * Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated supermodel Fernanda Motta celebrated her birthday with a party at Pink Elephant last weekend. * * * Stephen Marley (son of Bob) recently visited Montauk’s Surf Lodge and played on the deck in support of his new album, Mind Control. The performance was part of Surf Lodge’s Summer 2009 Concert Series, which happens Sunday nights all summer long. * * * Hamptons regular and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras played in the Second Annual Veuve Cliquot Manhattan Polo Classic last weekend, and was cheered on by the likes of Prince Harry and Kate Hudson. Figueras returns to the East End on July 18 for the first game of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge. * * * Carol Morrison of Montauk was honored by the Nature Conservancy, the Group for the East End and the Concerned Citizens of Montauk for her years of environmental work to preserve open space from development. At a party held for her at the Nature Conservancy in East Hampton, she was awarded proclamations from the state, county and town. * * * The Southampton Town Democratic Committee recently nominated its 2009 candidates. Councilwoman Anna Throne-Holst was unanimously nominated for the position of Southampton Town Supervisor, Councilwoman Sally Pope was nominated to run for a full term, Bridget Fleming was selected to run for the open council seat and Southampton Town Justices Deborah Kooperstein and Barbara Wilson were nominated to continue in their judicial roles. Linda & Jeffrey Chodorow, Cristina Cuomo, Chris DeWolfe, Peter Ezersky, Liz Lange, Diane & Alan Lieberman, Tatiana & Campion Platt and Lauran & Charlie Walk will all serve as chairs for the Phoenix House fundraiser slated for Saturday, June 27.
