About us
Parks & Recreation Month
Every park, trail, and playground is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of countless individuals. This July, we honor the commitment of full-time park and recreation professionals, along with part-time staff and volunteers, who bring our parks to life. Their efforts ensure that our green spaces remain vibrant, accessible, and enriching for everyone. Our 2025 theme, “Build Together, Play Together,” is a tribute to the power of teamwork and community. Parks are more than just places to visit—they are where friendships are formed, families create lasting memories, and individuals find connection and well-being. Whether it’s a child’s first swing set adventure, a community sports league, or a quiet morning walk, parks are at the heart of our everyday experiences.
At Deer Park Parks and Recreation, we are committed to building and maintaining accessible, inclusive, and sustainable parks and recreation programs that deliver powerful benefits to our community. From creating safe spaces for play to promoting environmental stewardship and community wellness, we work year-round to ensure that our parks serve everyone. Join us in celebrating Parks and Recreation Month! Stay tuned for the official Parks and Recreation Month Calendar, filled with exciting events, activities, and ways to engage with your local parks. Let’s come together to appreciate the spaces—and the people—who make our community stronger.
