Mark your calendars for the Tree Lighting Spectacular at Patrick’s Cabin Christmas Town on November 20, 2025. This free, familyfriendly event features our magnificent tree lighting, carolers, carriage rides, and visits with Santa. It’s the perfect setting for heartwarming memories and delicious treats.
Before the holiday rush, join us for the Halloween Carnival – a fun-filled evening with games, prizes, a costume contest, and live music. Then, step into a festive wonderland at Reindeer Park for memorable photos and a chance to experience snow in Deer Park.
With the new Community Center opening, we’re excited about even more enhanced Parks and Recreation events in the future. Our commitment to vibrant community activities shines brightest during this festive time.

Photo Release Statement
Deer Park Parks and Recreation frequently videotapes and photographs participants enjoying our programs, special events, parks and facilities. These images are used by Parks and Recreation and the City of Deer Park in publications, on the web, for television/cable promotions, or to use as is seen fit. The images are used at the Department’s discretion and become its sole property.
Cancellations & Refunds
IF PROGRAM DOES NOT MAKE: Help us have successful programs by registering early! All programs must have a minimum number of participants in order to be conducted. If a program does not meet the minimum, the program may be canceled and a refund or account credit will be issued.
IF A PATRON CANNOT MAKE A PROGRAM: Cancellations by customers made five (5) business days prior to the start of a program will receive a refund. If a cancellation is made after the five (5) business day deadline; a credit will be added to the patrons account in lieu of a refund. Refunds/credits will not be issued if the PARD office is not notified of withdrawal at least 24 hours or 1 business day (whichever is greater) before the start of the program. Refunds/credits will not be given after the start of a program or event. Registration fees will not be prorated for partial attendance. Under special circumstances, refunds/credits may be issued outside of these guidelines. Patrons are asked to contact the PARD office in these circumstances in order to obtain refunds/credits.
HOW TO CANCEL: Cancellations can be requested in person, by phone or email to the Parks and Recreation Department office, however written cancellation via email is preferred. Please send cancellations to recreation@deerparktx.org or to the PARD staff member you are working with. To request a cancellation by phone or in person, please call or visit the PARD office Monday – Friday from 8am until 5pm. This advanced notice is required for all programs, regardless of the number of days they are held.
A $25 flat fee for all dispute charges processed through our registration system regardless of dispute resolution.
Remittance Returned Unpaid
Deer Park Parks and Recreation will assess a $30 fee for any form of remittance returned unpaid, including but not limited to returned or dishonored checks and bank drafts. This fee is in place to recover the administrative and processing costs associated with handling non-sufficient funds (NSF) or other returned payments. Any individual or organization submitting payment that is later returned by the financial institution for any reason—such as insufficient funds, account closure, expired credit/debit cards, or stop payment—will be held responsible for the additional charge. Continued submission of returned payments may result in suspension of program participation, rentals or facility access until the balance is resolved in full.

Step into the action at the Earl Dunn Gymnasium—the dynamic core of the DAC! This versatile space is built for all kinds of play, featuring six pickleball courts, two full-size basketball courts that can be divided into four smaller courts, and four volleyball courts. Whether you’re looking to shoot hoops, bump, set, and spike, or rally on the pickleball court, this gym is ready for it all. We’ll be rolling out open gym hours and designated pickleball free play times for members soon, so you’ll have even more opportunities to stay active, sharpen your skills, and connect with your community.

Make a splash in the DAC’s brand-new Recreation and Therapy Pool—a warm, welcoming space designed for lowimpact fitness, relaxation, and family fun! Measuring 35' by 30' and just over 4 feet deep, this 30,000-gallon pool is perfect for aquatic exercise, therapeutic movement, and building confidence in the water. Members will soon be able to enjoy open swim times (schedule to be announced), and we’re excited to offer both private and group swim lessons, parent-and-toddler fitness classes, and even a special Swimming with Santa event this fall. Whether you're diving into a new fitness routine or just looking for some fun in the water, the DAC pool has something for everyone!

Walking Track
Welcome to Pinecone Pals—the perfect playtime spot for your little ones while you enjoy all that the DAC has to offer! Designed for children ages 2–7, Pinecone Pals is a fun, supervised space where kids can play games, explore activities, and make new friends in a safe, small-group setting with a 1:5 staff ratio. Available exclusively to DAC members and pass holders, this program lets parents stay active while their children stay entertained. Registration opens daily at 6am, with a two-hour daily limit. Parents must remain on-site during their child’s visit.
Take your steps in comfort on the only indoor walking track in Deer Park—exclusively at the DAC! This 1/10th mile track lets you walk, jog, or stride at your own pace, with 10 laps equaling a full mile. It’s a cool, climate-controlled space perfect for staying active year-round and beating the Texas heat. Available to DAC members and pass holders only, it’s your go-to spot for movement, rain or shine.

Fitness Floor
Step into 4,500 square feet of fitness excellence on the DAC’s state-of-the-art fitness floor—your new go-to destination for cardio, strength, and total-body wellness! Whether you’re just getting started or leveling up your workout, this fully equipped space has everything you need to crush your goals. Get your heart pumping with six treadmills, two stairclimbers, three NuStep machines, five ellipticals, four recumbent bikes, and a freestanding heavy bag for high-intensity workouts. In the Strength Zone, you’ll find top-tier equipment including single and quad towers, pulley and low row machines, dip chin, pec/delt fly, chest and shoulder press, leg machines, Smith machine, hip thruster, vertical crunch, and even a landmine station. From functional fitness to serious strength training, the DAC fitness floor is where power meets progress.
Room Rentals
Planning a party, meeting, or special event? The Dow Active Complex has seven modern, flexible rental rooms that can be tailored to fit your occasion—whether it’s a birthday bash, baby shower, training session, or community banquet. Located side-by-side with retractable dividers, these rooms can be used individually or combined to create the perfect layout.
On the first floor, the Maple and Pecan Rooms each seat 40 and can be joined for up to 80 guests, with access to the adjoining patio area. The standalone Cypress Room also seats 40 and is great for mid-sized gatherings. For more intimate events, the Magnolia Lounge just off the lobby offers seating for 25 people in a cozy setting.
Upstairs, the Live Oak, Red Oak, and Water Oak Rooms each accommodate 64 guests and can be combined into a spacious venue for up to 192. The Live Oak Room features a catering kitchen, and all upstairs rooms offer beautiful views of City Hall and Dow Park. Whether you’re celebrating, learning, or collaborating, the DAC has the space to bring your event to life.

Designed for our youngest swimmers, this level introduces basic swim skills and water safety in a fun and supportive setting. Children build comfort and confidence in the water through age-appropriate instruction and play-based learning.

Youth swim lessons follow a progressive format, starting with essential techniques and advancing to stroke refinement, endurance building, and overall water fitness. Each level builds on the last to support continued skill growth.

Then, it’s off to the pool for 30 minutes of gentle water fitness, where you’ll both enjoy splashing, movement, and bonding in a safe, supportive environment. This class is a great way to introduce your child to water play while you stay active and connect with other parents.
