Intro To Dog Obedience

This 6-week basic dog training class helps families and their dogs live better lives together by focusing on the relationship and bond. Everything is pawsible with your dog! The course includes beginning engagement skills, on-leash skills such as sit, down, recall, loose-leash walking and boundary training. We also welcome dogs that need to brush up on their skills. Want some peace and quiet on this no school day? Well, don’t you worry, our Wild Child event has you covered. Shot At Love Archery

Overcrowded movie theaters, waiting over an hour for an overpriced jammed packed restaurant, and flowers that will only last a day... While other couples do that, you can enjoy an evening of archery with us at our Shot at Love Archery event. Never done archery before? Do not worry, we provide the equipment and instructors that will review safety and mechanics.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre Class is a fun-filled class where we fine-tune the craft of singing, dancing, and acting! All students will perform in class numbers in the spring Pop Show, and will have the opportunity to audition for solos.

Acting Class

Participants will work on acting techniques, improvisation, scene study, and monologue selection. There will be a showcase at the conclusion of the semester, with opportunities to take their production to competition. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in the spring Pop Show.

Vocal Performance is a fun-filled class where the focus is on singing, vocal technique, and the art of selling a song! Students will perform in the spring Pop Show, as well as numerous holiday and special events. Students will also have the opportunity to perform solos in the spring Pop Show.

REACTION is an intensive dance troupe with admission by audition only. For audition information, call (281) 478-7288. Current Members can enroll. The annual Puttin’ on the Ritz musical revue is back, and citizens won’t want to miss this exciting evening of live entertainment, fun and fabulous food! The dinner/mixer/silent and live auction, sponsored by The Friends of the Art Park Players, is held to raise funds for scholarships and internships for longstanding members of the Junior Art Park Players academy.

Our part-time staff are the life blood of our organization and without them we would not be able to provide quality services to our community. Join us in congratulating Max Vicinanza, with our ASAP program for receiving the Part-Time Employee of the Quarter Award.

Max is an extremely valuable employee. He has been with the City of Deer Park for 6 years. He has gone from ASAP Aide to ASAP Leader to his current position as an ASAP Leader with a CDL. He has trained and mentored many ASAP employees over the past 6 years. Max is one to help without being asked and without complaining. Max is great with the kids and parents in ASAP. He is personable and respectful with the parents, and they all trust him with their children. Max is one of the best leads when it comes to interacting with the kids. They all love and respect him.
