Project Updates

DEER PARK COMMUNITY CENTER/POOL HOUSE

City Staff is in the process of negotiating terms of a professional services contract with Brinkley Sargent Wigington architects to provide services for the architectural design of the new Community/Recreation Center and Pool Bathhouse. Discussion is also underway of using an alternative construction delivery process involving use of a construction manager at risk for this project. At a public hearing conducted during the July 26, 2021 Deer Park Community Development Corporation quarterly meeting, Staff presented proposed projects including the Community/Recreation and Bathhouse project. Staff plans to next seek authorization from the DPCDC to recommend to City Council for approval of the architectural services contract and to seek authorization to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the construction manager at risk.
